First let me say that I am one of the people that would HATE to see halo reach revolve around classes. Great, now we have that out of the way...no flaming right? So...most of us want to see halo stick to its roots and not have classes, while few want to see halo in a different...more dumb...way. Well, there's a simple way we can all be happy. Make a playlist for classes. Of course there's only one way this would work. The game would have to be kind of like halo CE in the sense that each weapon serves its own purpose and would be useful and unique if you were to use it in a class. Agree?

No because any class system would effectively alter the over gameplay development. No classes, Halo has been built around the exact opposite.

I agree that halo is not meant for classes, and the only way it could even possibly work as a playlist (not whole game!) would be if the weapons worked more like halo CE, each with their own ups and downs.

Dual wielding and Melee lunge aren't Halo either. But that didn't stop Bungie from adding those features in. So your arguments against Class-based combat is null and void.

I hate DW and melee lunge but you can't say there "not Halo" because they are part of the series because Bungie said so. Halo has always included spawning on equal ground and fighting for advantages, class system have never been in Halo so the aren't "Halo". There is a difference.

You obviously dont understand what it means for a game to have classes. Either the whole game has a class based MP or none of it does. Having class based MP is not like a game type or something.

God dang. The only way to make a game unique is not to add a feature that just about every other game has. Look at ODST for the direction Reach should head. The idea, not the same angle.
