Subject: *New time travel thoeries*

A wise man once saw a weed struggling to grow under a rock, one month later he returned to see the weed flourishing, only to put the rock back on top of the weed (dooming it), when his his advisors asked why he he simply exclaimed; "That was its fate."

Think.

what if the chief did go bvack in time, and it is reach but you see, there are two master chiefs, they never meet, and halo3 chief never meets other chief and no one realises they're seprate poeple and chief is to busy fighting to warn everyone about the future. I could elaborate maybe later, I know it's corny

theory two: what if reach chief dies and halo 3 chief has to get inside hist suit and replace, he doesn't warn anyone because he doesn't wan't to mess up the space time continuem, and redoes history exactly the same way what if the other chief doesn't die but is left on reach and master chief boards the autmn instead

thoery three: maybe not time travel but flash backs

Please don't flame for my inapropriate spelling and grammar, it's just not important enough to me bother double checking it.

EDIT: If you haven't noticed, I'm discussing the possibilities of what happened not believing in them, and I agree with everyone else, the odds are almost nill for any of these to be true except maybe the flash back theory (chief goes back to reack and remembers)

Why the hell would he warn them about the future? Everything turned out great in the end.

And there will be no time travel.

And if the 'Reach chief' died, then why the hell would the 'Halo 3 chief' still exist? Your theory is flawed.

Sure.

Time travel = Retarded

Your logic is flawed and therefore you lose!

who knows, not pure time travel, he goes back in time into a diferant dimension maybe, it's up to bungie ultimatly.

ahh, the kill my granfather paradox, no one is sure if that would happen or not, maybe it was a slightly alternate dimension

time travel?

But everything turned out as well as it could have. If it wasn't for Halo, and all the events of the trilogy, humanity would still be at war with the Covenant, or they would have lost.

It could have been better for the fact that MC could know where lots of poeple would die and could warn/save them, also he could warn lord hood and tell him about the covanent planning an attack specificaly at mombasa africa, athens and multa not being destoyed would destroy regrets entire fleet.

They could do nothing about it though. Covenant weapons are WAY more powerful and they would get to Mombasa anyway.

The fact that Chief would go back in time and warn everyone would cause problems. The Covenant is destroyed, humans are allies to Elites, the flood has been stopped, and the Halo's didn't fire. Sure, there were sacrifices, but that's war and it's for the better.

EDIT: Flashbacks I could deal with.

play through the first level of halo 2, the first attack fllet was TINY, and would have been destroyed if athens and multa disabled the bombs, and then, they'd have time to prepare for the fleet that attacks in halo3

Exactly, I was telling on how the chief could due it but won't because it would mess up the time line (until that end part at the end of 3, then he'd get to the front of the ship)

EDIT: Flashbacks I could deal with.

Wasn't Reach prepared for the Covenant and still got blown away?

Make a game just for Chief to move to the front of a ship? No.

Reach WAS prepared, but way overwhelmed with a massive fleet. You could see the covenant fleet in a cutscene in the beginning of halo 2 campaign

Exactly, so the Covenant would eventually destroy the defenses. Sure, it may not happen with the first fleet, but the Covenant would return and win.

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

Time travel theories make me facepalm.....it's just so un-Halo. This isn't Doctor Halo, it's just Halo.

It's like suggesting that Reach's main military comprises of zit cream, because red spots appear on Reach in the Halo: Reach trailer and the zit cream has to fight the spots.

I'm afraid you've misunderstood, I mean the ship at the end of 3, chief would go to the front half with arby.

exactly, earth is better defended and lord hood said that fleet that attacked reach was 50x bigger.

I agree 110%, I am pretty much sure that there is no time travel, I don't believe that's whats happining. I made this thread fo discusing all the possibilities of time travel, not beleiving in them

Maybe SPOCK will be there! Live long and prosper, Master Chief!

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

Time-travel is stupid. It doesnt happen. Common sense.

My speculation on this matter is that since MC is in the the sleep chamber this will more than likely be a dream of his flashing back.

I think the only possible "time travel" is that the planet Chief floats by is Reach, and in Halo: Reach Cortana nad the Chief float by saying stuff like remember Reach... and you relive those moments and such. I hope we get to play as a new squad of spartans in the new game.
