Subject: what would you like to see in forge in halo reach?

i'd like to see placeable ai spawns for all types of covenant in campaign (that drop to the ground in phantoms or just spawn), flood variations (flood pods that drop from the sky with certain types of flood or just spawn), and your allies such as marines which get dropped to the ground by pelicans, and odsts, which drop in drop pods. with the ability to respawn, and have a respawn time or set the enemies to spawn in waves (to create a something similar to -blam!- zombies in cod waw), and you could increase the amount that spawn each time new ai spawn, such as having a multiply current ai spawn by 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, or 4 each spawntime

i would also like to see a special map that is completely empty, with just a gridlike base similar to sandbox, except there isnt anything to stand on, but you can place buildings, rocks, cliffs, houses, rivers, streets, streetlights, warehouses, downed pelicans, downed phantoms, brick walls, wood fences, broken brick walls, add oceans, add lakes, and any other kind of scenery possible, with no item limit, so if the map laggs to much, its the mapmakers, fault, and they have to change it.

with both of those features, you could probably make your own campaign missions.

please add what you want to see in halo reach's forge mode.

I would like to see animateable objects (a platform that moves from point A to point B every 5 seconds for example), no limits on most objects, a snapping feature, and natal controls for forge (screw orienting pieces with sticks.)

Bring every weapon from the halo trilogy into forge.

Besides that, if bungie has more than enough time to implement this idea, give us the ability to forge in halo enemies from the trilogy, for an example, in a map/level, we can have the "obtion" to forge in two Halo CE Zealots, with three Halo 2 Honor Guard elites, led by a Halo 3 Brute Chieftan, programmed by you to either find and attack you, or defend a flag, or even assist you in killing a bunch of Halo 2 Heretic Grunts, aided by Hunter variants from the whole trilogy you forged in.

Anyway, the enemies could retain their default AI from the Halo game they were in, but can be altered for a different AI, (Like giving a Halo 2 Ultra elite, Halo CE elite AI, but will still retain their "ability" to whip out their Energy Sword when provoked at close quarters)

Anyway, its unlikely we will get obtion to forge "every" halo unit in the Forge, but it would be pretty sweet if we could.

well for the fact that you brought up ODST's i would like to inform you that the ELITES have a counter part for that, they have their own drop pods, you can see these in action in a cut scene in halo 3's mission FLOOD GATE and halo 2's mission QUARINTINE they work the same ways as ODST drop pods but they just look better.

But it would be cool to see this be added.


How about this for an option, how about adding in Air fights between UNSC and the covenant really high in the air (to high for you to actually controll won / just for visual effects to add the feeling of a huge war) you can see this happening on several missions of halo 3's campaign, all you would have to do is look up and you will see BANSHEE's fighting HORNETS.

I would like to see the Troop Warthog, and the civilian Warthog in all the forge maps along with plants and other organic vegetation also i would like weather control on the maps. Condition control of vehicles and materials would be great.

No matter how many times I forget about this place, I always get dragged back.

I'm more than okay with that.

- 45 degree/90 degree snap on every axis
- Premade gravity lifts (large colored object, like a respawn area except visible, manipulate shape, size and force)
- The ability to make objects de-spawn
- Copy/paste a selected area (also flip, turn, mirror, move selected area)

I'd like bungie to go to The Home Depot (or Lowes) and write down everything they see then include it in forge

Despawning

Despawn + respawn timer (if it despawns lets have it come back too.)

Custom respawn/despawn times. IE 1 minute 2 seconds with an upwards of 1 hour just to be sure we get it covered.

Easy geomerging with everything

Every Type of forge object is available in ALL maps. And not scenery or area specific. (Like not JUST old sand blocks on sandbox. Add some from every map. Like avalance objects on sandbox.)

Easy floor placement. (Such as for the sky bubble) making a floor wastes rescources. it'd be nice to have a floor in place already. That's toggleable.

Non-ripable turrets.

Flood scenery. Like those gross looking doors on the Cortana level. or those pods that have the flood popcorn in them. that can respawn and generate flood.

Snap tool for precise angles and balancing.

An option to have an object float or not.

Set object weight. I want the oil drums to be 1 pound or 5000 pounds

object streaching Maybe my double wall is JUST too short. I want to add 3 feet to make it fit. or it could be used for shield doors. (make it look nicer

Objectives for infection mode.

Color pallet for objects. I want a bright red bridge and a bright blue bridge so I can mark red and blue base. BUT not limited to just red and blue.

Multiple teams for every game type. (Mostly for infection)

A.I.

"rounded" objects like a bridge that curves, but not at an angle. like this ---> ( or this ~

Letters So I can spell things on the wall. WITH a font selector. AND a color selector.

Ablility to select what weapons a team can and can't use.for ALL game types. (if some one becomes the juggernaut then they instantly have whatever weapons you assign them. Or for infection The humans can't pick up swords if you say so.)

"Fake" walls (like in Goldeneye 64, :P)

Latters .... for climbing

Man cannons that you can set to decide where the person will land. And how fast they will get there.

Weapons that you can spawn in the air. and have them float.

invisible walls.

Nature tool. for trees and shrubs. and rocks.

Arrows that I can put on the ground wall or ceiling to guide people towards something.

Kill boxes. Not just round ones. triangles too. and ones i can customize.

More effects.

Placeable Gun racks.

more light balls that I can change colors for.

Park and home scenery. I want a TV in my zombie haunted house. THAT PLAYS THINGS. or a sofa and a fridge

More construction scenery. LIke bulldozers or I-beams

Non-human controlled LAZERS! that just shoot a lazer every once in a while (That you can tell it when to shoot and what color.)

more destructable objects.

I would love to see somethings like farcrys map editor i played on some amazing maps there but the muitiplayer sucked, it would be great if you had the ability to make a perfect copy of Blood Gulch and pay it with halo gameplay. Check it out.

well, the idea of forge was to modify the objects on a map to change the playing experiance. The way most people would like to use it is as a map creator like in farcry. I think it would be a great idea and would save alot of frustrationto those who want to make new maps which is mostly every one.
