I don't think so, because stealth is a big part of Halo for some players, and if they're in a good spot with the sniper then it would kind of ruin it if they knew where you were next time around.

I think that the kill cam would just create more lag in a game like Halo. In Halo you have actual 3D objects that can move around on the map (fusion coils, cones, vehicles, crates, ect.) All of these things take some bandwidth from the Host's upload, put in a small video and you have much more lag. This works in the COD games because there isn't much moving around on the map besides the players.

I spent two weeks in Tallahassee one night.

No besides the fact it would create lag there is also the fact that it would be annoying because hiding spots would be gone. Also it just would not feel haloish i say keep it the way it is in halo 3.

no you wouldnt be able to tbag and have the person see it. also i like to see what going on in the battle you can help your team mates out alot by this.

Did you really just say that? A rule that I know Bungie follows and every single developer should follow is "Gameplay over Graphics." More lag means worse gameplay. I would rather play a 16-bit game if it was more fun than a game that looked like real life...

Killcams are stupid. You can see where you get killed from, just pay attention to the arrows on your HUD or the tracer rounds from weapons (especially easy to notice with the Sniper).

No its not. I'd rather see Marathon graphics then have lag. The current graphics fetish needs to die. Gameplay before graphics.


Kill cam would ruin the game. What you call camping is a legitimate strategy. With the power weapons spread across the map it isn't the problem everyone makes it to be. Don't confuse bad strategy on your part with someone else being cheap. Frags in the campers spot and they are no longer a problem. Snipers are meant to be hidden, if you can't find them too bad you deserve to die.

By kill cam do you mean:

1. when the camera points from your dead body in third person right at the person who killed you, locks onto them, and possibly zooms in a little.

2. when the camera switches from your dead body to the location of the person who killed you.

3. a replay of your death where you could zoom in, out, detach the camera, etc. like in Forge.

1 and 2 would not lag the game up, but 3 would, so I assume thats what you mean. I am against killcams in any sense, like you, though. If you can hide and kill someone from a distance and that person can't find out where you were pelting them from by the arrows on their HUD or following the source of the projectiles, they don't deserve to know where you are shooting from.
