So i havent really been following the info released for ODST. Sue me, Ive been busy.

What i'd like to know is how is the gameplay effected by us (the player) being a normal marine rather than a walking tank?

I know there's the new visor where everythings all neon, and the new guns, but -
Do we have sheilds?
can we flip vehicles?
can we jump 8 feet in the air?
will a brute TKO us with one melle?
healthpacks?

Help me bnet, you're my only hope.

Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.

Do we have sheilds? No, but we have a sort of regenerating "Fatigue" I don't remember what exactly it's called, but we can take a little damage and that will slowly return. After that it digs into your health, which can only be recovered by Health packs of sorts. I think.

can we flip vehicles? No idea.

can we jump 8 feet in the air? Unlikely

will a brute TKO us with one melee? Probably. I do know ODST melee is much weaker.

healthpacks? Yes

Do we have sheilds? No, we have "stamina" similar to Call of Duty.
can we flip vehicles? Unknown, but likely

I dont think they will be able to TKO with one melee if you have full health, but you cant jump as high, health packs yes and for the vehicle flpping go into halo 3 campaign and flip a marines vehicle and see if they unflip it.

Do we have sheilds? No, Stamina.
can we flip vehicles? Nope, only board and plant grenades. But you might be able to flip in FireFight seeing how we can detach turrets and hold hammers.
can we jump 8 feet in the air? Probably not.
will a brute TKO us with one melle? Depends what difficultly you play on probably.
healthpacks? Yes.

I think we might be able to flip over small vehicles like a mongoose, not sure about somthing as big as a big as a chopper or warthog.

You have a type of shield, similar to CoD's system, your screen gets red but it dissipates. When your screen gets too red; you've taken too much damage, there's a bar at the top of the screen that is your base health. You start to lose this. To replenish it, use a health pack. It is probable that you can flip vehicles, but not confirmed. A brute may KO us in one melee on Legendary, however even on easy it will still hurt a lot, though it wont kill you in any difficulty I imagine.
