I like how bungie has implemented they little gold icon which is next to a post where a mod has posted and how mod posts are in gold text. But could you implement gold page numbers on the page a mod has posted on in a thread because I don’t like having to scan through multi page posts looking for a mods post to find the answer to the question or to see the post starter get burned
I reckon that could be pretty good, but the problem is, say there are 8 Bungie Employee posts, all on different pages. There would be 8 golden numbers under the post. This could mean running out of space...
running out of space... alright im not sure where on the same page what i meant is you know at the bottom of a multi page thread after youve opened the thread and can see the posts in it there are numbers so you can slect which page you want to read. well i meant that they should just change the colour of the page number that the mods post is on gold...so if mods posted on pages 2 4 6 and 8 or a 10 page post the numbers 2 4 6 and 8 at the bottom of the page would be gold and the rest would remain blue

Mods post in white; it's Bungie employees that post in gold. It's not a bad idea at all, though I can neither confirm nor deny the ease of its implementation.

First off Mods post are white. Second the gold icon is for bungie employees. Mods dont have an icon if they post in a thread.

It's certainly a good idea but i think an icon would be better than coloured page numbers. If a Bungie empolyee and a mod both post in a thread, the Bungie icon would overwrite the Bungie icon.
umm God? error ^^^^

Wow, Bungie employees actually post here? That doesn't happen very often in other forums. How many are there?

I'm not that active, but never dead.
While we're talking about the little Gold Septagon that appears whenever an Emplyee replies, I was wondering: Why isn't there a little white Sepatgon whenever a Mod replies to a topic?

So you could have 10 articles with white septagons and the browser would only download the image once. The same already goes with the other icons like the sticky and locked icons.<=I hope that made sense.[Edited on 6/9/2005]

mods are like celebs on these here forums (Recon's story is a prime example) and it would seem that people are interested in what you guys have to say. They might read a topic that normally they would just skip over if they see that a mod has posted in it. I think that is the point this guy is trying to make. but I could be mistaken... it wouldnt be the first time.

Also is there a way to implement the difrent colors in Group forums?
If you make the entire post as a named url for the post it will show up as gray... but thats just stupid[Edited on 6/10/2005]

... And back to the original topic...What fun would it be to have an arrow pointing directly to the wisdom of the employees and mods? That would be like using a helicopter to fly directly to the spot of the hidden treasure. All the fun of the adventure would be taken away!Besides, you would miss excelent quotes of lore, such as the infamous "don't be use -blam!-"!
