In the levels with the rookie, you are supposedly alone. How could you do co-op? this could ruin the storyline like in halo 1 they had two spartans (lol) or at least they looked like it. Two rookies?

And so there was a man who ate cake.

And he was happy it was that way.

It's just for fun. And if it's too easy just turn up the difficulty and turn on some skulls.

It'll work out fine.

For fun?

I know. Strange concept.

The city has thousands of MArines, and other ODSTs who may of dropped. We may be playing as them, except they don't appear in cutscenes, like the two additional players in Halo 3.

No there are other drop pods

Go Rams and Missouri!

In co-op, there are just up to 3 unnamed ODSTs not in your squad. It isn't too out of story because there were many ODST's dropped in. And remember, it doesn't have to be completely canon. In Halo 3, the Arbiter and the other 2 Elites weren't really with Master Chief everywhere he went.

They'll probably just make it like in HCE or H2. Multiples of one guy. Shouldn't really be too much of a problem if you just play for fun.
If it really becomes a problem, then just play it again in solo.

"YOUR DESTRUCTION IS THE WILL OF THE GODS, AND WE ARE THEIR INSTRUMENT."

Rule 1. of gameplay.
Canon/Story does not affect it.

The same way that the two elites from Halo 3 are never seen in cutscenes, it's just there to make the game more fun.

Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

Someone suggested that everyone in Co-Op lands in different areas of the city, and they can meet up once they jump out of their pods.

That way it would still make sense, seeing as many other ODST's dropped. Just the extra ODST's wouldn't be in your squad.

Good point. I just thought I heard the words "completely alone" somewhere.

That's true. In Solo mode, except for aide from the Super Intendent, you are completely alone.

In Co-Op mode, however, you are not.

That sounds like a great idea, but what if you don't start from the beginning?
Personally, as long as there aren't Rookie clones I'm happy =)

Woop woop.

The other three will be playing as Generic ODSTs while you are wandereing Mombasa.

What would be cool is if during flashback scenes the second player will take control of whoever else was there. So in Romeo's they'd take control of Buck or in Dutches they take control of Mickey.
