And so there was a man who ate cake.

And he was happy it was that way.

We can wait for 50 days.

No. I was really looking forward to Halo Wars, but I played the demo so much that when I got the game I was already bored of it.

I will agree with this point on some level. While the Halo Wars demo ruined the actual game for me, which I STILL haven't played on other then skirmish once, but ODST I think would be different. Because this is the Halo we know and love, by Father Bungie whom we know and love. Not LOTR BFME with warthogs thrown in by out stepmother -blam!- Ensemble. That's a big factor.

I think a local or even online firefight demo would go over much better then the Halo Wars demo because it's A) Co-op, which will always add some re-playability, B) FROM Bungie, and C) Better for a fast 5-6 wave flash that would let you wanting the rest. Halo Wars basically gave you the whole game in 20 minutes.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Halo Wars was great. I hate it that people keep complaining that just because it's from another company, isn't on the computer, and is an rts doesen't mean it's bad. But to be on topic i'll wait.

We have Evolved Combat
We have gone to War
We have Finished The Fight
We have Remembered Reach

HALO, the best thing created after the sliced bread.

No, only a month for it, besides, if you play a demo a lot before the game release you can get bored when you have the game in your console.

As much as I would love to play the game right now, i'd rather wait until the full version.

The reason for this is that i'd play the Firefight demo so much that i'd get bored of ODST before I even got it. Similar to Halo Wars. I spoiled it for myself.

Helping out the 7th column community with reasonable posts since '07.

Honestly, I loved Halo for it always being a special surprise, the beta is so much different from retail so it really didn't bother me so much, but still.

I think that another thing with Betas is that they only last for a certain amount of time until you actually can't play it anymore because the developer stops you from playing. You can't really ruin the experience for yourself by playing it until the game is released.

Well the demo was about 1.5 gigs. Compared to the 6 gig game you already had played 1/4th of the game by playing the demo.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Yes but they won't. And thats ok.
