Supposedly the multiplayer coming with ODST is exactly the same as in Halo3. But it is supposedly also directed towards newcomers and Liveless people because it has the maps.

There appears to be glitches in the original H3 MP and some things that Liveless people would probably appreciate:
1. Flag/Oddball/Bomb carrier can't drive vehicles even when you set the option to make him able to drive on.
2. You can set Flag and Assault pedestals to apply 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th team. However, the game doesn't allow multiteam objective games for these gametypes.
3. You can set the objects to "Never" respawn, but that doesn't make the items not disappear nor does it make them stay disappeared.
If these options won't and aren't supposed to work, perfectionists would appreciate if they were removed as options.
4. On the original Avalanche one of the Wraiths may become invisible or overpowered. Are all the maps on disc patched ones?
5. How about adding canvas version of every map on the disc, ones people can still delete? How about Sandtarp? Pitstop? Epilogue?
6. Will the disc be optimized so it won't take a minute to load the DLC maps seperatedly?
7. Seeing the new achievements. Will all the armor except Recon be made available without having to do online achievements? Or could all the armor except Recon be made unlocked by default? It's really dull to see all offline profiles have "locked" on nearly every armor and it causes fights.
8. Will it have the auto-updates?

Any chance of this happening? Any more issues? Will it be the perfect and final H3 multiplayer for online and offline people?

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

Whoa wait I read it wrong. IDK Forget this post.

makes sense, i would have thaught the multiplayer disk comes with the updates but then again it might not

actually im confused are you trying to say that you hope the multiplayer disk includes the updates such as melee fix? for those who dont have live so couldnt update

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

If they change anything on the ODST disc, they would have to release a title update in tandem for Halo 3 so that they would be compatible.

LOL this is getting really confusing - what im trying to say is will the 3 multiplayer updates that have already been implemented into halo 3 (for those who have live) will they be implemented into halo 3 multiplayer for thos who dont have live through the Halo:ODST multiplayer disk

That's probably the reason none of this will happen. But doesn't having the maps on disc already make it different. Or do we have to install them from the disc?

@mcaleer. 2 things. Will all the originally broken things be fixed and can the people without Live take the most out of this? This new recycled multiplayer just is a perfect chance to fix all what was wrong in the original game. I can't imagine the anger of offline players playing Avalanche and noticing there's an unbeatable Wraith sometimes. Just gives a sloppy impression. Epilogue, Sandtarp and the rest really change the original maps and offline players could enjoy them a lot too.
Even adding all the weapons on starting weapons list could work because now there's more space. But it wasn't really broken and isn't something simple offline players missed.
