Iam enjoying Halo Reach and revisiting some past Bungie games, iam a big fan of Bungie and their online community.

If it were like Battle feild 1943 classes it might work as they are simple but effective.
Perhaps if they were like this.

Assult rifle
Magnum
Frags [2]
Bubble sheild

Battle rifle
Magnum
Frags [2]
Sheild drain

Sniper rifle
Magnum [scoped]
Frags [2]
Radar jammer

And to keep the Halo originality put a mix of UNSC and Covenant weapons on the map.

From left to right in the banner --

Support
Primary Weapon: Heavy Machinegun; (or Assault Rifle)
Secondary Weapon: Grenade Launcher; (or Rocket Launcher, Spartan Laser)
Special Item: Biofoam injector
Grenades: Frags x2, Smoke x2

Recon
Primary Weapon: Silenced SMG (2x scope); (or SMG)
Secondary Weapon: Silenced Magnum (2x scope); (or Pistol)
Special Item: Active Camo module
Grenades: C-7 Explosive Charges x4

Soldier
Primary Weapon: Battle Rifle
Secondary Weapon: Assault Rifle; (or Heavy Machinegun)
Special Item: None
Grenades: Frags x4

Engineer
Primary Weapon: Rocket Launcher; (or Grenade Launcher, Spartan Laser)
Secondary Weapon: Shotgun; (or Flamethrower)
Special Item: Repair tool to fix vehicles
Grenades: Thermite x4

Sniper
Primary Weapon: Sniper Rifle; (or Gauss Rifle)
Secondary Weapon: Pistol; (or Silenced Magnum [2x scope])
Special Item: Binoculars to temporarily mark visible targets for allies
Grenades: Flashbang x4


They would all have different stats for shield strength, shield recharge rate, health level, run speed, jump height, melee strength, melee speed, etc. which would make them all accurate, balancing out their spawning weapons. For example, against the Sniper class:

Support could use his laser to take him out from afar

Recon could use her camo to sneak up on him

Soldier could pepper him with a BR

Engineer's shields would recharge quicker than the re-balanced Sniper can shoot, and he could use his laser to take him out from afar

This way:

Let's say I'm an Elite. I spawn in game with an AR and a flashbang, the default. I then go and grab a pair of plasma grenades that were near my spawn, and maybe the Carbine.


Yes i see what you mean it would be an unfair advantage bettween weapon classes if it were Covenant and UNSC specified classes.
