Subject: Halo Wars Can't Relate With Reach!

I know that halo wars is based in 2531, but it has spartans. In the book, the Spartans weren't done with the training when The Battle of Harvest and Admeral Cole won. Its safe to say that halo wars isn't a REAL halo game since Bungie didn't make it. Never the less, it is a fun game. I just wish Ensemble Studios did a better job with the halo history when the made the game.

Spartans got their MJOLNIR/finished their training in 2525, when Harvest was attacked. Halo Wars occurs during the second Battle of Harvest, in 2531, after the Cole incident. The Covenant came back for an artifact. Halo Wars is 100% canon (except for the Spartans having shields in gameplay).

I'm pretty sure it's a new weapon that's been developed during the covenant/human war. it didn't exist back then, and afaik, there has been no books/anything talking of it.

yeah why wouldnt the laser be considered cannon, they never put a date on its creation, so it could have been created in 2192 for all we know, we dont know when it was created, just because we didnt see it until halo 3 doesnt mean it didnt exist until halo 3, otherwise you would have to consider the elephant to not be cannon in halo wars, and the smg because we didnt see it until halo 2. unless there is a creation date on an object that contradicts with its appereance it is considered cannon

Well just because it wasn't talked about until Halo 3 doesn't mean it was non-canon back then. We didn't hear of the SMG until Halo 2 but it showed up in Halo Wars... same with the Brutes.

It probably wasn't in Halo 1 because there was only one UNSC ship, whose Spartan weapons lockers were destroyed during the Battle of Reach. In Halo 2, he was only on Earth for a short while and it may have taken a while to move a Laser to him, and there probably wasn't one aboard the In Amber Clad, the only UNSC ship that landed at Delta Halo (that we know of).

if you just think about it though, what I said makes sense.
it's the only human weapon that use a laser to kill. it might have been created thanks to the study of covenant technology...

you do realize that lasers that can kill are in all honesty nothing new, the military all ready has prototypes of portable "laser guns" hell they even have lasers that can shoot down nuclear missles, so in all honesty in the halo univerese it is resonable to believe that they would have a laser for killing long before the covenant attacked

Well the Hawks have lasers. So why can't there be a SPL? Also brutes have always been around it say some where in the Ghosts of Onyx. They wernt new. Just that the prophets prefered Elites.

so humans can make better weapons, using lasers. but they thought it'd be too cool so they kept rifles and bullets.
makes sense. really. so yes, I do realise today every modern countries have laser based technologies.

because it would be highly impracticle to replace all physicall weapons such as guns, because a gun would require far less maintence, and also the spartan laser was actually an anti vehicle, but it can be used for other things as well, a handheld laser gun wouldnt have the firepower of the splazer so u would have to focus it on the target and essintally burn it, thats what a laser does, it focuses light to the point where it burns something

In short, lasers kill tanks. Bullets kill -blam!-es.

Halo Wars belongs to the Halo franchise, and even when it wasn't made by Bungie, it was supervised by Joseph Staten, plus the copyrights belongs to Bungie, so it belongs to Bungie and it's part of the Halo franchise, which makes it an official Halo game.

u call Halo Wars 100 canon? the arbiter armor was destroyed ( cutscene Monsters) The Prophet of Truth said on H2 the armor is the same as all arbiters have been wearing

that doesnt mean -blam!-, one there was never comfirmation that it was destroyed just droped off a cliff, two they obviously have more then one pair of arbiter's armor, because if each arbiter had died fighting that means at least some of them when they died there armor was destroyed, and since not all elites are the same size they would have to have multiple armors. and truth never said they all wore the exact same peice of armor

theres no other arbiter armor theres only one and even if the armor survive the fall the shield world got destroyed noob
