For all of you that were wondering of the significance of the Operator (Slender Man) symbol (The circle with the X through it) I just did some research and came up with something pretty...unnerving.
I typed in 'circle with an X' on google images to see if I could find a picture of the symbol. It turns out, however, there was actually a weird ass band called 'Circle X' that was big in the 1970's. The operator symbol was their logo.
And the weirdest part of all?
Their lead track. Its called Slender.
Link, video of aforementioned weird-ass song/music video. Notice the distortion...
I'm even more creeped out but intrigued now. I'll see if I can do more research on the band.
Dude, the show creators most likely looked for s symbol on the internet just like you and came up with the same damn thing.
ORLY?
So they were like 'hey, let's make the symbol a circle with an x', and then typed that in...and it's just a coincidence that the band they took it from came out with a track called Slender?
I think you mean to say they searched 'Slender' and came up with that.
