May the Forge be with you.

I used the search feature and came up with no results, so I can only assume this hasn't been discussed.

While submitting news to the Bungie Blog, I looked at the different icons to correctly mark my topic (Halo 3 has the 3, ODST has the Superintendent, etc.) But something odd caught my attention: the icon next to Reach has a red dragon. As I mentioned, initially I thought this was "old news" because people submit news all the time to the blog, so certainly they must have noticed this. So either this is old/unimportant and the search feature didn't work, or people don't pay attention to these little things.

You can click here and see for yourself. Just hit cancel at the bottom (or close the whole window) since you don't want to submit anything. As my GT would indicate, I'm a big fan of dragons, so this is pretty interesting to me. But what would a dragon have to do with Reach?

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Probably set it to a default one so they won't have to reveal anything new with what they REALLY want for the Icon.

Oh yes I did!

Because you ride a dragon... didn't you see that footage?

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

If you look the Reach banner, the spartan on the left looks like hes holding a dragon head.

Makes sense. It just struck me odd they'd use a dragon icon for a sci-fi shoot 'em up game.

It means that there will be Yoshis in the game. Spartans use them to ground pound their enemies into dust.

Or it could also be the symbol for the Spartan Red Team, the team that fought on the surface of Reach.

Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Yeah, that'd weird.

Oh, did anyone else notice that Halo 3 is labeled "Halo 3 Xbox 360"? That's weird, since Halo 2 is marked "Halo 2 Xbox" and "Halo 2 Vista."
