We're getting something extremely cool.

An awesome game. An awesome game that has an open world Campaign, the opportunity to play the Reach beta, unlock Recon, and get Johnson to kick some Covenant butt in an all-new (to Halo) Firefight system. And it's made by Bungie.

What more do you want?!

PS; Are you choosing COD;MW2 over ODST purely 'cause of the night-vision goggles?

MW2 is a sequal.
ODST is an expansion.

Think about this for a bit.

Sorry to hear you got fired but..you are going to miss out if you pass up on ODST.
ODST normal edition comes with:

1. Halo 3: ODST disc. (Campaign and Firefight)
2. Halo 3 multiplayer disc. (all existing maps plus the 3 new ones)
3. Halo Reach multiplayer beta.

The Limited Collector's edition comes with:

1.Everything the normal edition comes with.
2. Special Edition Halo 3: ODST controller. (You save money by getting this if you need a new controller)

P.S. If you pre-order the game you get a code that unlocks Sgt. Johnson for Firefight mode.

Why do you want cheap $90 night vision goggles that are only worth $40.
They see how far? Hmmm... 50 feet! WOOOOWWWW!! I can c mai mawmz rose curtins with teh lites off!!
If you want night vision goggles, get real ones that can see at least a mile outward.

I doubt MW2 will be much more than an expansion itself. It will no doubt feature much the same weapons, the Campaign is just an extension of the prequel's, the multiplayer will be much the same, and so on, and so forth.

That is not true. The true Hardcore Halo fans will get the game because of the game.

Well look at Halo 1 to halo 2 and halo 2 to Halo 3.

Campaign extension and minimal change to the MP experience.

Are you freaking retarded? It clearly shows, you don't have much money but you're spending 140 dollars on a freaking game and crappy night vision goggles. And 99% of the people getting ODST are getting it for Firefight, Campaign, and the new maps.

You mean 75% of the Bungie.net community. Most of the people who don't come on this site are very casual gamers, and would (most of the time) not buy Halo; ODST for Recon. I'm definately not buying it just for that. Hell, I don't think it even looks that good.

Granted. However, there were extensive multiplayer changes through those games. So, I guess that could be new-ish for MW2.

nvm that are cheap, and not make you look like a complete twat *cough* cyclops *cough*.

Hey OP! Here's a thought.
Buy Halo 3: ODST and the regular edition of Modern Warfare 2. Then three weeks after its release, go buy the goggles on eBay from someone whose selling them for $20 because they realized how -blam!- they were! Total cost... $140! You save $10 and get TWO games!

For the most part it was the same formula though.
MW2 does seem to be adding cool things like custom kill streaks.
