Let's compare:
Horde has 10 waves that repeat 5 times each.
Firefight is unlimited waves of random enemies (which make up rounds, which make up sets)
Horde uses competitive multiplayer maps.
Firefight uses maps tailored for Firefight to enhance the experience.
Horde has preset enemies that appear on the map.
Firefight has random enemies dropped in by Phantoms.
And don't say Bungie copied Epic, because it's other way around. Marathon was the first FPS to include a survival mode.
