Firefight looks awesome but I'm sick of hearing everyone say it is a rip off of horde mode. The truth is that bungie was debating on whether they were going to be in halo or not. They ultimately decided that they wouldn't. Plus I think it's more fitting for ODST anyway. Also if they had put firefight in halo 3 then everyone would be saying gears copied halo so who cares. Lately people have been having fun doing these types of games were u fight the A.I. without playing the campaign 40 times. -blam!- zombies for COD WAW is the exact same thing so who cares. The whole point of it is if ur sick and tired of getting ur ass kicked by real players so u kick back and play against the A.I.

Marathon anyone?

Go Rams and Missouri!

Let's compare:

Horde has 10 waves that repeat 5 times each.
Firefight is unlimited waves of random enemies (which make up rounds, which make up sets)

Horde uses competitive multiplayer maps.
Firefight uses maps tailored for Firefight to enhance the experience.

Horde has preset enemies that appear on the map.
Firefight has random enemies dropped in by Phantoms.

And don't say Bungie copied Epic, because it's other way around. Marathon was the first FPS to include a survival mode.

I wasn't saying bungie copied epic. I was saying some of my friends were complaining that firefight was a rip off of horde. I just think they will both be fun in there own unique way.

The universe is probably littered with the one-planet graves of cultures which made the sensible economic decision that there's no good reason to go into space--each discovered, studied, and remembered by the ones who made the irrational decision.

hode wins because it has matchmaking. I've made so many friends playing horde because it puts a lot of randoms in a group and makes them work together. Sure some people quit out but the ones that dont become close allies. Firefight will not be as fun once it becomes harder for people to find games as their friends move on. I am sure instead of the massive spam we get in halo3 currently with people showing off their variants it will be all people begging for firefight games.

I like to derp and stuff. I have a YouTube channel~

Derp

I feel like I'm a bit biased here. I don't like Gears. I don't feel like its gameplay is as fun as Halo's and I don't think its story is as deep as Halo's. But that could be either a good or bad thing, and for me it's a bad thing.

I agree with I Intrepid I. not completely just because I haven't played firefight yet but once I play it I mill make my choice.
