Playing Halo on this baby compared to the old: priceless

OMFG, this game is incredible on a good system. I never saw the muzzle flash on the A/R, the smoke trail from the frag grenades. And the sound! ricochets, explosions and hogs! Oh my! I going to replay the campaign and drink in the scenery and action.

That's no baby step. That's huge. No wonder you're shocked, that's like more than a 10x performance increase.

Yes, PCI-E is to AGP what AGP was to PCI. Right now PCI-E and AGP perform about the same but AGP will be going away as PCI-E starts to get better and blow it away. If your getting a new motherboard get a PCI-Express so you can upgrade in the future. AGP will be around for about a year and then fade out

I know what you mean. I saw it at my friends house, he has a 9800 pro, and I was blown away at how good it looked. Then I had to go home. :(

PCI-E is already better than AGP. Nvidia's SLI and ATi's Crossfire would be impossible to have without the huge bandwidth that PCI-E 16x provides.
