Ive just been scrolling through the pics of ODST through common boredom and its come to my attention (Comment if you feel the same), that the laser in ODST seems to be smaller and of different production value? Clearly this shows to the haters that the ODST isnt as strong as a spartan, hence the smaller "Spartan" Laser

Cool story bro.

It looks the same to me, but I also thought how an ODST could carry a spartan lazer... ODST lazer?

"Momma didn't raise no fool."

I guess they had to make a smaller version of the Laser for Marines because the one MC uses might be too heavy for them, like the Magnums.

Thats what i thought?

Yes, because Johnson's Lazer and MC's lazer. Totally different.

Nah, looks the same to me, it could have been produced differently.

What stumps me is how ODSTs can wield Hammers and detach turrets like Spartans can

Lol

  • 08.04.2009 12:25 PM PDT

They can only do that in firefight, which is social mutliplayer :)

  • 08.04.2009 12:26 PM PDT

Why might that be? Explain...

It's the same Galilean laser. They can use the laser in Halo 3.

Yeah, but there regular AIs, in this focused game, youd think they would have a smaller laser?

It says Galilean, the full name for the Spartan Laser according to Halopedia is "Weapon/Anti-Vehicle Model 6 Grindell/Galilean Nonlinear Rifle", abbreviated to "W/AV M6 G/GNR". You see why people just call it the Spartan Laser? XD

it appears you have fallen into a sarchasm...
its the gap between someone making a sarcastic comment, and you picking up on that sarcasm...

uhhh, Marine in Halo 3 can use the splaser, why can highly skilled elite marines use it?
