Subject: Don't do a Halo 3, we need another Cortana

In Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, we had Cortana with us for every step we took as the Master Chief, giving directions, hacking battle nets, and unlocking doors. But at the end of Halo 2, she stayed behind at High Charity. Halo 3, thus, had no AI present. Which made you realise how awesome it was having Cortana in CE and Halo 2.

It got boring in Halo 3, without Cortana making little remarks, communicating to command, rallying marines, and all the other stuff. Sure, we had the Arbiter dogging our steps, but it wasn't the same. Guilty Spark was just plain annoying. It was also strange when someone at command would communicate you, because Cortana usually was the one to radio back.

I'm worried that, since the Master Chief is the only known Spartan to get an AI, Reach will be just like Halo 3; silent, due to the fact we are probably playing as different Spartans.

So Bungie, I implore you to give us an AI we can get attached to, have it so your Spartan links up with the Reach's P.S.I, or anything like that. Just don't make it like Halo 3.

Or maybe Bungie will have a cast of characters and the story is a combination of their interactions as they correlate to missions.

You don't need a voice in the head when you have tangible characters and bidirectional interactions.

Agreed. It is nice to have some talking going on besides MArines shouting stupid stuff.

They tried that with the Arbiter, but it just ended ruining the atmosphere by having an immortal character with you.

As you progress throughout your life you realize that the older you get the closer your are to death, the only thing you cannot change.

Well we may have Dr. Hasley......she's Cortana's "mom"

You should not fail a mission because an AI character died. If you go out of your way to try and kill him, the player is then purposely ruining the atmosphere.

Immortal characters are fine.
