Subject: Why do some want Reach to have classes?

I don't understand it. The staple of Halo for so long was that unlike other games such as CoD, CounterStriker, Battlefront, etc, you had to go out and get your weapons, giving as much variety per life as possible.

Now i see quite a few threads here that want Halo to change to classes. Why? That's basically re-skinning CoD, and giving you more health/life. It doesn't make sense to me.

I agree it could be interesting, but i find Halo's multiplayer much more interesting.

Just wondering.

Call of Duty is not a true class-based game, don't use that as an example.

Caboose -1

It looks like a Puma?!?

HALO was made before ANY games with classes and no one had that idea yet.....

Why isn't it? Because you can pick up guns? Then what about Battlefront(Star Wars). I don't get why people want Halo to be like that.

One does not simply walk into Halo.

That's the exact same way Quake plays. Halo is nothing more than a Quake game with a story that does not agree with the Quake Universe. Why do people think the game will be different? The story's not changing.

I dont see anywhere that i questioned the Storyline changing, i'm just wondering why so many people want Halo to change it's style all of a sudden and become like other games.

Signatures are for squares.

Because, some people aren't happy, so when bungie makes classes, they can all complain that "This isn't as good as TF2, or They copied CoD"

Idiots, if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

It's not so much that they want it to just change as much as they'd like to see it expand its horizons and maybe take on new concepts.

Again, I could say the same thing about the changes from Halo 1 to Halo 2.

I'm not one of them, let Halo stay the way it is, non class based.

Really? Duel Wielding and highjacking can't be compared to COMPLETELY CHANGING THE WAY HALO IS PLAYED.

Believe it or not, dual wielding and other things in Halo 2 did completely change the way Halo was played. I won't get into the details, but if you've played Halo 1 as much as I did, and then played Halo 2, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Anyways, what's wrong with expanding Halo's horizons? Why can't there be class-based gameplay? What's so bad about it?

Fact 2: European guys are hotter

I guess I can understand if you don't want to make out with guys in the US if they're so ugly, you should just say so though.

It is, just a custom class version. But i see where you're coming from.

  • 08.04.2009 5:14 PM PDT

Right seriously are you stupid!?
People want classes so you experience what the spartans experienced, their skills, their guns etc.
