Ok, in my previous Halo 1 pc i enjoyed for 4 or more months suddenly one day i try to play halo and before the menu loads, i get this pop up: "Gathering Exception Data...", i reviewed all themes about this problem, i found no problem similar to me, i found it happens with certain maps, or according to your resolution or updates, lack of updated anti virus, whatever, i verified anti - virus, disk space, video card, audio card, all the requirements, i reinstalled, unistalled everything from 0 i deleted my files all halo related files i even bought a new Halo 1 pc, i installed everything, updated everything, and the same problem happens all over again. I update the halo before run the halo.exe, it updates me to 1.08 and this message pops up: "Cannot allocate required memory. Some other application has loaded where Halo needs to be located."

I asked everywhere, i posted here and in the flood forums, so far no answer from Bungie or any answer from Microsoft so, since they are too busy to pay attention to my problem, is there someone out there to help me or suggest me a solution to my problem? or should i just give up my halo 1 pc? cause i find no reason or cause why my computer is doing this, i mean, it was working really well before this last week, i never had a single problem, and now just pops up and make me a reall headache.

Please i beg for help!

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Do you use Meaya Popup Killer? If so, close it and kill MK.dll and MK2.dll before starting the game.

If you don't have it, then it's not the cause of the problem, is it? ;)

Do a clean boot. Apparently that fixes the problem for a lot of people. I'd give you a link, but support.microsoft.com isn't loading right now.

Something smells fishy...

Once I had the "gathering exception data" error pop up. What I did was simply uninstall and then reinstall the game. I'm not sure what causes the problem. I've looked at other websites before claiming to have fixes for the error; a patch of some sort. But I wouldn't trust anything that isn't affiliated with Bungie. Try unistaling and reinstalling the game. Make sure you select the box to erase all saved data.

I had the same problem, but after removing internet explorer 7, halo worked fine again.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I'm trying to figure out why I haven't run into this error yet.

Ermm question, i cannot uninstall IE 7 and go to a lower version, how do you do that? :S

NVM it didn't work, i'll have to format my pc, if it doesn't works then i'll have to drop it, and Bungie would be failed me really bad.
