For honor, for glory... for the Seventh Column.
Well. Here's my summary of all three.
Horde:
Horde is fun and all, but the gameplay just doesn't seem to be the most exhilarating. The increased difficulty based on what wave you're on can become somewhat frustrating after a while too. Don't get me wrong, I like Horde, but I get tired of it real quick.
Zombies:
The thing about Zombies is that from Waves 1-10, it is usually extremely boring. Then, once you get to a certain point (around waves 7-12) if your team is not co-ordinated, you're screwed. Then you have to restart all the way from round 1. Zombies was a really good idea, except I think that it needed more time for development. I liked the idea of earning points to buy weapons and expand areas. It adds to interesting gameplay.
Firefight:
Firefight just looks to me like a perfect blend of everything and has been improved. The enemy AI is built extremely well. I like how Bungie makes the first couple of rounds sort of easy (but there's an added skull to not make it TOO easy) then the next few rounds a little bit tougher. Then the last couple of rounds are the ones that test you. Plus there's vehicles too. It seems like they've taken all the elements from the Halo series and then just souped it all together. Want to be competitive? Well, you've got Firefight scoring. Want to be casual? Get your friends together and beast that Warthog. Want to be scared -blam!- less? Select Legendary and wait until you have four Brute Chieftans chasing after you. Add in two new weapons plus one revisited weapon and I think that we have a winner.
