I would keep in mind a few things about Halo.
Although this is Halo:Reach, and we know few things about it, It will probably have similar qualities to other halo games.
The idea you have behind a gametype similar to Battlefield 2142, would not be great in my opinion.
Battlefield is often more of a strategic field of play, where most players are more of a hardcore type of gamer. The game features qualities that suit more of a team required type of play.
Not saying that Halo:Reach couldn't be this, but I see Halo as a run and gun type of game. Halo can be, and have team games, but is still grounded enough to be able to play on your own, which in most case-scenarios, happens.
If you give the standard game of Halo 16 players, things start to become very uninteresting.
BUT, If Bungie were to make a game similar to Battlefield 2142, I wouldn't be too disappointed being a fan of the game myself.
What I would like to see in Halo:Reach, Is some sort of way the game encourages more of a teamwork attitude, where players are almost forced to work along side their Team, other than wondering off on your own.
