So,Twitter is this big thing now. And Geoff Keighley, host of GTTV, uses it a lot. And he loves telling us where he's going for shoots. Well, he's stopping by Bungie. God knows for what? May be for ODST, probably be fore ODST.

But you never know! First ever exclusive look at Halo: Reach? GTTV does that sometimes.

Thoughts?

I'd say it will mainly be ODST but with the news coming out that Reach has been in the works for nearly 2 years now, Its probably at a much better stage to have a gameplay reveal/information reveal than say EA Montreal's Army of Two 2's GTTV Reveal was.

I'd Imagine if GTTV does cover Halo: Reach, the show's contents will be like

1. First Ever Gameplay Footage and details of Halo: Reach!
2. Brand new Halo 3: ODST Trailer (In fact, I won't be surprised if a ViDoc debuts on GTTV)
3. Brand New never before seen Cinematic from the game
4. Debut 2 Brand new Firefight maps.
5. ODST Soundtrack Info
6. Other random tidbits (Mix of things we know and minor things we may not know)

I see the first content reveal for Reach as being revealed either at a gaming industry expo or right here on Bungie.net.

Normally I would agree but I think in this growing industry, with publishers wanting to get people excited right from the beginning and trying to get the hype in early, that is no longer viable and while, is still an option for most companies, ultimately the publishers themselves may want to get some things out.

But, it is Bungie after all. Maybe some gameplay information accompanied with like Concept Art or something? Kinda like last year's Game Informer blowout on Halo 3: ODST, in Video form. It'll be similar to Mass Effect 2's appearance on GTTV.

In a reply to someone else, he said that this week is the Comic Con Episode, Next week is 'Left 4 Dead 2 and left 4 Dead DLC'. Whatever episode comes after that one will be the Bungie one. I'd say in 2 weeks.

I believe SPIKE is the channel.

  • 08.05.2009 8:22 AM PDT

SPIKE? didn't you say g4tv?

  • 08.05.2009 8:24 AM PDT

If its going to be shown anytime soon it will probably be at Gamescon (leipzig's replacement) as i think i remember one outlet saying bungie have a soft spot for it. Plus i think its the only games con before ODST comes out, then again if i were Bungie i wouldn't mention anything till after ODST is released so as much focus can be made on each game. but maybe...

Hmm, but if GTTV is really having anything Reach related, then I don't think they'd want to break the exclusivity deal. And while that's safe, letting people know details about how Reach plays like may potentially make people buy ODST if only to get access to the Beta.

This week is Comic-Con on GTTV. Bungie is coming soon with some great exclusive content.

This means that this week show only have ComicCon informations and whatever...
The Bungie Material will we see in some weeks or so...

Probably only Halo 3: ODST things. They don't want to bring attention away from Halo 3: ODST with Reach info. Then again, they've already given us A LOT of information, for such a short game. The more they release information, the more I feel like 70$ isn't worth it.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

It'd be for Halo 3: ODST.

Bungie All Star Contest Winner Weeks 6,8 and 12

Most likely ODST, I doubt Bungie would bring in a gameplay reveal on GTTV. They will most likely do it at a major conference or gaming expo.

You Americans are lucky, getting a TV channel about games. I have to go to the internet for that.

This apple is brown, and rotten. This orange on the other hand, is in relatively average shape. So the orange is definitely the preferable option.
----------You can't compare apples and oranges. You're so dumb.

I doubt they will show Halo:Reach. Not with ODST coming out in a month and a half. Thats where their focus is for now.

Don't get me wrong, the game has been in development for two years. Its probably looking real good by now. But I wouldn't expect any more coverage from Halo:Reach untill after ODST is out. We'll probably get the first vidoc for it, sometime in December. We will probably get a small peek at the games multiplayer, around then to. A vidoc detailing the multiplayer will probably release, a 1-2 months before the beta. Which will probably happen around, May. We might see scrapings of campaign footage in a couple vidocs in late 09-early 010. But we probably won't see real time footage of the campaign being played, untill e3 2010.

Funny. Has the reverse effect with me.

And, maybe no gameplay videos but I could see the first gameplay details being revealed. Like how its gonna work and stuff... I don't know...
