Um, in your poll, the U.S. doesn't have 50 contiguous states. 48 contiguous, then Alaska and Hawaii.

I happen to be from the U.S.A.

Ah yes. A grievous error. 48 contiguous plus Hawaii and Alaska. Thanks for the catch. Unfortunately, I'm unable to change that now.

I think it's quite many that doesn't live in the countries in the poll. Just beacuse everyone here speaks english, that doesn't neccesarily mean that they speak it as main language. In many countries, if not most, english is a mandatory subject in school.

In my school, english lessons started the first year after kindergarden (though we only learned like 15 words in the first 4 years)

With the unsuspected success of the "How old are you?" thread here in the Underground, I've decided to give it another whirl. So, with under the presumption that 99% of the forum visitors are English speaking, Without further ado...What country are you a legal resident of?

Please don't take offense if you're in the U.K. or Ireland and don't like the grouping. Oh, and I should have added Tasmania somewhere too. Sorry, about that. And I know there probably aren't too many avid South African or Maltese video gamers.

Remember: No political conversation. Again, Britain and Ireland I'm looking at you.

I'm confused as to how this ended up in the flood?

And yes... Those of us on the mainland of Australia prefer not to associate ourselves with those in Tasmania... only aussies really understand why, so I won't bore you with an explanation...

Opinions are like arseholes - everybody has one.

Knowledge is knowing Tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

There is no such thing as a bad decision, only good decisions based on flawed information.

First Brit. Wahoo! No, i won't go into "political conversation", nor will i complain about the grouping with Ireland (part of it is a part of the U.K. remember). I'm not even going to complain about having to wait another 2 days to get hold of my copy of Halo 2. Why? Because i just ordered my copy of Halo 2 LE. Ave it!

English. Your grouping is fine for people from Britain and Ireland. You could have put the republic of Ireland rather than Ireland, so as not to include northen Ireland which is part of the UK anyway. But who cares? It just means some lucky person from Northen Ireland has been included twice.
I like England. Not many people like England but i like rain!

Yay rain! I live in Arizona, the 48th state. We have two seasons (at least in the southern half of the state which is all desert) the not so hot season and the hotter than Satan's ass in hell season. That's why rain is good. It's nice and cool and the clouds block out the sun (sometimes). Unless it is monsoon season in which case it is hot and sticky and the rain is usually accompainied by dust storms.

Wow. Out of 27 votes, everyone so far is from Britain, or one of it's former colonies.
