Let thy be killed by my blade

I think they should have stopped at halo 3 but I can't wait for these new games as I love halo. They should have stopped but I'm happy they didn't.

Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

I don't care if they tell a story about a complete random marine in the Halo universe. As long as it's fun and addictive, I'll take it.
And typically, that's what Halo games are.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Halo Wars was milking it a bit. ODST is just something badass. Reach? Well, we'll find out. It's likely that Bungie will make Reach a cumulation of all of our input into one awesome game.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Milking, IMO, in regards to games is when titles are completely obscure to a property, and attempt to cash in on it's name. This does not mean all "milk" titles are bad (look how Mario Kart turned out, and Wars is a lot of fun) but that is usually the case.

Until we see Spartans showing up in foolish roles in odd titles I don't think the universe is being milked. Now if they make a Halo fighting game or race game, or some puzzle game with the Halo brand slapped on, then yes, the milking has begun.

As gamig technology progresses more=better. Just bring on Halo4 gears 5 and any other sequals. and yes im exagerating the game numbers becuase i want more sequals. Halo is getting better and better..... well except halo3 had a crappy campaign. It wasnt good enough

The question was "Is BUNGIE milking Halo." I voted no, but that doesn't mean Microsoft isn't trying to. I was happy with Halo Wars, despite canon goof-ups and WTFs, it was an okay game. Still, Microsoft paid Ensemble to make a game with the Halo logo on it. Halo Wars wasn't as much a sellout as Nintendo is with Mario Kart, Mario Party, Luigi's Mansion, Wario Ware (The list goes on...), and so on.

Sure, there are books, comic books, shirts, posters, a graphic novel, and an anime on the way, but so long as it's good, I don't care. As soon as the Chief, Cortana, Arbiter, or Johnson make a cameo in a giant Xbox-wide SSB-like fighting tournament (Fenix versus Sam Fisher versus the Chief versus Darth Malak?) Halo will die for me. Until then, bring on Reach!

To be honest I don't see any Halo game made by Bungie as milking. Milking is such a negative word.

I mean, they make a game to make money and to have fun playing it. As long as I like it, too, I have no problem with a new installment of the Halo saga being developed.
It's up to them to release a new Halo game every 2 or 3 years. I welcome it as long as it is a qualitiy title which I get to play.

I don't believe that they're 'milking it.'

They're expanding on the universe so that there is less speculation to be thrown about in regards to the events leading up to (Halo Reach & Halo Wars) and during (Halo ODST) the Covenant/Forerunner Installation crisis. More fan questions are being answered through a way more enjoyable way than reading FAQs and such... at least, that's my opinion on the subject. I'm naturally curious, so I'm excited on the expansion of the Universe past John and Arbiter's PoV.

Of course, making money in the process is only a bonus for Bungie.

No.

What the hell are people saying about Halo wars? It's the game Halo was going to be in the FIRST PLACE. Before it was even a THIRDPERSON shooter, it was an RTS. Halo wars isn't some new obscure idea for the Halo universe, it's where the Halo universe BEGAN.

Nothing halo related besides the board game is milking the series. Not even Legends.

ODST is a small break from the usual "green giant beating -blam!- up" formula. In fact, it's a complete departure from the average FPS formula.

Reach is just a prequel. An fps prequel. Something that can balance out the field for those who are still offended by Halo wars.
