Subject: could bungie come out with a new armor after people start unlock recon

U wanna cookie?

I was just wondering if people think that bungie would come out with a new armor after people begin to unlock recon like maybe for the elite?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Yes, the new armor will be called "Search Bar"...
Also doing visuals with text isn't allowed... ^^

They can't release any new armor for Halo 3 and there's no point in having "special" armor in ODST because there's no Matchmaking...

  • 08.05.2009 3:40 PM PDT

They said it isn't possible to make new armor, and bungie wouldn't have any special armor if they gave away the flaming chest, so I vote no.

Your wasting you're time you could be doing something else besides reading my signature...

Wrong, they could add new armor through the form of a game update.
And I highly doubt armor is more then a few hundred kilobytes.

It's possible, just look at games that have adds changing every so often, Like R6V for example.
And graw2 had an update that added new faces.

It could be done, but that doesn't mean they will.

Listen to the podcasts...In one of the older ones it is clearly stated that it is impossible to add new armor because the armor would need to be added to every map and is just not possible with Halo 3's engine.

Hey guess what!? I play CoD more than Halo, but I'm not an annoying fanboy. I love CoD more, but I like how involved the Halo Community is...

Oh people don't worry, I Guarantee you that Once reach is out, Bungie will once again have there own Armor.

You do realize that the armor premonitions are just overlay textures right? Whatever it doesn't matter either way, I don't know the halo3 engine so I can't really say whether or not they could.
But from what I've read and learned over the years, it's should be possible.

DUDE! WHAT THE HELL?! REALLY?! DO YOU GUYS SERIOUSLY NOT COME ON HERE AT ALL OR DO YOU NOT HAVE EYES?!

WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?!

Do you HONESTLY think that Bungie'll be like "Oh yeah, they've got an armor now that we had but we still have to have some cool armor that nobody else does have!"? REALLY?!

First of all, they said it'd take WAAAY too long to make another model, SECOND, why the hell would they do that to a community they so proudly care for?!

I'm seriously about to kill the OP of the next stupid thread on here. Kids need to KNOW THEIR -blam!- BEFORE POSTING!

they should use Armor ideas from clone troopers that would be pretty BA

Yeah, they are overlay textures (they talked about this on a weekly update a whiles back.

They're overlay textures but the way Bungie designs them I guess takes a long time (I dunno how it would take that long to have the artists come up with a new design for a player model and then transition it over to a DLC pack of some sorts to be enabled on another users account but wtvr)

I think that it's a texture that requires animation. I dunno why it would since the PC model makes all the movements but again, I'm not 100% clear on Arete Seven's operations in house so ya...

The way Halo 3 was designed really doesn't leave much room for expansion, aside from maps.
Check it out.

Okay, look. Bungie said that the only way they could add new armor is if they recalled EVERY SINGLE COPY of halo 3, made and added the new armor, re-wrote all security and what not codes, then send each one back...and even if it was possible they have more important things to do.
