...The AR is broken? Yeah the Halo: CE AR was better, but the current one is fine. Maybe a LITTLE damage boost, but personally I find it a decent, good gun.

Though, I believe the Carbine needs some more too it. Either an accuracy boost or a damage boost. That way we can have another weapon that's almost like a sister to the BR, so we have a LITTLE more variety in what guns are mainly used.

The current version of the assault rifle is anything but fine. The thing is completely dependent on grenades and melee.
Besides, the reason that bungie broke it in the first place so that serve as a good starting weapon (which it failed miserably at, precisely because bungie crippled it), however now that the only enemies you face are covenant the assault rifle needs a power up so that it will be useful. What it really needs is better range and a slight increase in clip size (45 rounds would work). The current assault rifle may be fine on easy and normal difficulty (for the most part), but the moment you try to use it on heroic or legendary it becomes completely useless.

The AR has more range than you think, your just not using it right.

Let me guess, you're talking about pulse firing it right? Well I've tried that and its still way too inaccurate.
Besides seeing what they did with the smg, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that the assault rifle may be made more accurate as well.

The only weapons that have changed are the SMG and the pistol. That's it. The rest are the same.
And the AR DOES have more range than you think. The gun doesn't have any recoil that affects your accuracy.

Now if it shot where I was aiming at rather than randomly around it then I wouldn't have a problem.

If I had a Rocket Launcher...

Shut up and get behind me... Sir!

The cable. I'm going to cut it.

Awesomeness would ensue.

I miss my MA5B from the original game.

While certainly not quite as accurate, it had the power to shred anything it's path that wasn't shielded (although it did a fairly decent job of taking those nasty shields away), and enough rounds to fill a room with hot 7.62mm FMJ. Personally, I felt that the lack of accuracy was made up in being fired in bursts. Can't hit what you want with bursts? Move closer, or draw your trusty M6D magnum.

Still, I can tolerate the MA5C, I suppose. Bungie's game, and such.

Do the people complaining about the AR even remeber playing halo 1? I still play on PC but the AR is never used.
The spread is so damn huge you could not hit the side of a barn. The halo 3 AR is much, much better than the halo 1 rife. sure it dose not hit targets as far as the H1 rifle, but at least when the target is in range you can hit it more than once because the bullets to fly in the other direction....
