Do you think that the blood types will be important in ODST? I think they will because they show them in the field guide, and in the Vidoc on Buck's shoulder you can see the O- typed in big bold letters on his shoulder. Tell me if you think they will matter.

Well it means that Buck can donate Blood to either an A+ or B- blood type without danger to the receiver. But if he needed blood, he'd need another O+, and that's a rarer type. If that helps.

I speak the truth, and truth speaks itself.
The lies disguise what you despise.
Run. Flee and be, what you've always dreamed.
What happens now won't matter later.
What you see will not be, nor what you imagine will not happen.
The end is close, so take your dose.

ZOMG. IT MUZT MEEN WE SEEEING VEMPAIRES.

Kidding.

I doubt it means anything.

Just a little something bungie put in to make it seem more realistic.

Anime will occasionally show the characters blood types. It is supposed to determine ones personality.

On the more medical side, a blood transfusion may very well be possible. Perhaps in the form of a Heroic Sacrifice.

Just an addition that they would have on if it was real life so they could give them the correct type of blood if he is in need for blood.

Its just a touch that Bungie added to make them feel more human. Its honestly a special forces thing to wear your blood type just because they work in high risk zones. In the US Army Rangers it is common practice to tape your blood type to your boots.

Also, hilarious quote:

True. Now that I think about it having the -blam!- beat out of you with a pool ball in a tube sock by your degenerate pimp is the better choice.

That would be very important information, that you would need very quickly, if you were trying to save somebody's life on the battlefield. I guarantee it is just for realism.

Incorrect, Wolver. O- can donate to everything. Exactly why Buck's blood type is emphasized on his armor.

Loose talk is noose talk.

They are probably foreshadowing an event where a blood transfusion must be had.

get out of here stalker

I'm a Z + and I'm a hemophiliac. Damn.

If Bungie added vampires it would be stupid but cool.

Maybe Buck will save someone's life By making a blood transfusion, as many above have said.

That's pretty good for 2 hours of music without explosions and people yelling. I don't care if you steal it, but God does...

srsly gaiz? srsly? The blood types mean as little as their occupation. I don't see threads about "ZOMG DUTCH DRIVES ROAD TRAINS WILL THERE BE A ROAD TRAIN DRIVING SEQUENCE IN HIS FLASHBACKS." This is, if anything, more silly.
