I would like

Halo 1 shield regen/power
Halo 1 health resilience
Halo 1 melee
Fall damage (.5x as intense as in Halo 1)
Halo 1 run/strafe speed
Halo 1 crouch speed
Halo 1 field of view (90 degrees instead of H2/3's 60 degrees)
Halo 1 grenade throwing distance
Halo 1 visible health
Halo 2/3 regenerating health

No matter how many times I forget about this place, I always get dragged back.

I'm more than okay with that.

Fall Damage should be a Custom Gametype option. Not just a Yes/No, but a 0 to 100% scale of how much damage you take from a fall.

Melee Lunge should be removed, and Melee Damage should be somewhere between Halo 1 and Halo 2 level.

Aim Assist should be brought down to Halo 1 level.

Shields should recharge slower.

Individual damage percentages for weapons should be implemented into Custom Games.

As far as health goes, I think Crackdown had the system I would like for Reach; have your normal shield bar that depletes, and when that goes down your individual health bars go down.

The shields come back up and regenerate, and your health bars regenerate about 3x slower.

I really like the idea of fall damage being added as a custom game option.

I dont really think tweaking each individual weapon is necessary. It would be really annoying to join a custom game just to find out nothing does damage except for the hidden pistol that only the party leader knows about. I could see it being added to forge, but i dont see a need for it.

I'm not a fan of the health system in Halo CE, however, it "might" work well in multiplayer, just not the campaign.

Fall damage is fine as long as it isn't ridiculously restrictive like in CE.

I swear, sometimes I fell from about one foot off the ground out of a banshee and died the other day.
