I think there should be a feature that allows people to track their own posts and threads.

Unless I actually bookmark the thread I'm watching, I end up losing my topics to the insane traffic of posts. Maybe there should be a feature that allows people to "sticky" certain posts they're following, or a page in the member's profile that lists all the threads they are currently tracking.

Any thoughts?

I like that idea. Maybe our stickies could be on right under the forum list box?

Yeah, that would be good. That way they don't mix with the other sticky posts (lol, "sticky posts"), but are still right there on the main list.

The War will wage forever; though with it's fury comes a peace that you will never know here.

I think that sounds like a nice idea... then we dont have to sift around to see if anyone replied to old posts that we've made.

It is a good idea, but why not have a little box in your profile that holds like "my favorite topics" or something? I know whenever I sign onto Bungie.net I always check my profile for messages etc....

That is a really good idea too. Have you guys seen any forums use any feature like the ones mentioned above?

Just Bethsada, but c'mon, it's a killer way to make people happy!

In some forums there are "Alert me of responses to this topic."

The Xbox forums have a system that tracks all of your threads that you personally start, and then all the threads that you've posted in within the last week or so I believe. That's what this forum needs, and I think it would be a great addition.

DO YOU HEAR US BUNGIE PEOPLE!?

Please hear our pleas!
(Hehe, sorry. I had to) =P

Well, to save server space, I think people should select which threads they want to save.

Forgive me if I'm off topic, but are you referring to the forums of Bethsada (the company who worked on Morrowind)?

If so, that's a kick-ass RPG... It's up there with Diablo 2.

I like the idea of a box that has a 'my favorite topics' or 'my started topics' list. That is, as long as it's modifiable. No use in making a 4 year old post one of your favorites, unless it's awesome.

There's only two kinds of icons to head the threads right now. First, there's the Sticky icon-ed posts... which are perfect the way they are. There's never too many threads w/ them, and only moderators can make them "sticky" (Eww). Second, there's the Plus-sign icon-ed posts... which should represent when threads have been posted upon and new threads. Then, the new icon, the same as the Sticky and Plus-sign, only with nothing over the guy in the icons... representing no new posts. Tell me what you guys think. ;D

I just posted a "Fictional Story Forum" which is pretty fun once people start to get into it.
All you have to do is just continue the story from where it was left off, you can do anything to the story as long as it doesnt break Bungie's Forum Policy. So there pretty fun to have in forums, and one is up if neone is interested
=D
