Let's put an even bigger strain on the host's connection, since, you know, 8 and 16 player games isn't enough.
Have you any idea how laggy that would make games? Thousands of unique battle scars? Custom emblems/armor already is a big enough waste of bandwidth on the player's part, even though most of you don't know it.
Chill. Thousands is very exaggerated... My idea doesn't include a unique battle scar for every unique bullet that hits the player. If a player gets shot in the arm, a generic scar will appear somewhere on the arm. Even if it's 10 bullets, those 10 bullets will make one scar. Or, if that doesn't work, have it so that the battle damage disappears with every respawn. Or you can have it that it simply disappears over time. Sort of like shooting a wall. You see the bullet holes, but they're just painted on and disappear over time. Have you read my graduated scale idea? Guess not. Instead of individual battle scars painted on the player, their armor degrades on a generic scale. Everybody receives the same battle damaged look on a graduated scale. Without "thousands" of scars, the graduated scale idea should help cut back on lag.
