im sure theres technical junkies around these forums as well as experienced pc gamers that can help me out. im gonna buy a new vid card to play halo cause my current one is only 8mb. im looking at the ati radeon series cause there seem to be some 64mb - 256mb for cheap on ebay. im pretty damn broke so i can only afford maybe 40 bux. ya, seriously that broke. thats why im surfin ebay. whats everyones opinion? what should i get?

If your looken on ebay and looking for a good cheep card in the radeon series. try and find a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, it's an older card and the price has gone down quite a bit since I got mine. I’ve seen a few lately on ebay. I think you can get them at best buy for like 100-150 now, so they usually a 3rd of that on ebay.

um.... polo. dident you say a while back you got your graphics card for $250 last winter? this dosent look like 100-150...

the link didn’t work for me, but i checked out bestbuy.com. they have it for $500 on there site but i got mine for $250 on Christmas. an i saw it around the hundred range last time i was up there.

Well, it depends on what ports you have (PCI, AGP, PCI Express) and what type of games you want to play.

If you're just going to play Halo, I'm sure an ATI Radeon 9550 will be fine. If you're going to play all kinds of games, an ATI Radeon x700 should work.
