Subject: Orbital Drop Shock Trooper

X74

The ODST's go feet first into hell.

The Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST as we know them) are an elite group of UNSC Marines that are trained in special warfare tactics. Their method of orbital drop allows them to conduct missions against enemies that other conventional forces couldn't approach undetected. Similar to their Infantry counterparts, the ODSTs maintain units of varying strength aboard many UNSC ships and Installations. ODST units were stationed aboard the UNSC Atlas, the UNSC Spirit of Fire, the UNSC in Amber Clad, the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn, and Cairo Station. They also drop into areas under heavy fire, or are heavily guarded by enemy troops in order to kill any enemies and set up landing zones for Pelicans to land or deploy reinforcements. ODSTs are recognized as a key element in setting up landing zones and it is speculated that without them, it would be nearly impossible for Pelicans to carry out air assaults of any kind.

[The Armor] the ODSTs in addition to using standard infantry equipment use a special body suit. It is primarily black, but has urban camo. on certain parts of the armor. The pressurization of the suit allows for extra vehicle operations. It has heat and AC to mask the infrared signs of the wearer, and it also has an oxygen tank that aloows15 minutes in a vacuum environment. The helmet contains amazing communications gear, along with a (HUD), along with thermal and motion detectors. There are specific types of ODST armor that consist of ranger(sniper) close quarters combat(shot gunner) and recon these enable the wearer to better complete their mission depending on what is needed for the occasion. The last thing I would like to inform and talk about is the ODST drop pod or HEV(Human Entry Vehicle) the pod is teardrop shaped and is made of Titanium-A, Lead Foil and coated with a ceramic skin. They are extremely risky to use this is because marines can die from either the intense heat on re-entry, the extreme G-forces; the force of hitting the ground or, the parachute may not open to slow the HEV down. This is the main reason why many consider ODST's to be insane. I just thought that you ODST fans would like my know information on the Troopers and I hope someone learns something from this, this is just a small way for me to celebrate the games release thank you, Shadow

Apply your Halo knowledge into something constructive, like Fan Fiction. Don't just spout out facts we know/can research easily.

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"

I really don't feel like reading this so whats your point?
