Subject: 343 Industries Development department should help on Reach.

Before Reach ends, 343 Industries development studio (not the marketing department or departments in charge of overseeing things like the Anime) should help out on multiplayer maps or something just to get a hang of the Halo universe, before Bungie relinquishes Halo games to Microsoft. It would be a great warm up and lesson about Halo's design ethics so they can handle future games after Bungie moves on later next year. Not to mention we'll get more multiplayer maps at a quicker pace.

Obviously, we don't know anything about Reach so they could already be helping and learning about Halo design this way or in some other way.

yes i was actually going to suggest this. Halo: reach would be a great chance for all the people at 343 to get a feel for how halo plays. if there going to continue on the legacy it would be great if they do this. They probably will. im also glad some former bungie employes are there to keep it true

Who knows, this could be the whole point of Reach being made, other than to please the fans.

Not some wanna-be company should make Halo games, Bungie is the one and only for that task.

And if 343 Industries will make Halo games then they have to spend lots of time listening to Bungie employees on how to make a great game. The end.

(Bungie > 343i)

I am sure that they will at least get to test early build's.

I imagine 343 industries are working on their own projects and are well aware of what goes into and what it takes to make Halo games. Let Bungie make Bungie games and 343 can make their own.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I don't want some bastardized clone of Bungie making half hearted games. If 343 is up to the task, then they can make good games by themselves.

Frankie is running 343 last time I checked. He knows Halo.

and how!

343 Industries is headed by ex-Bungie bigshot Frankie. He knows how to do Halo, Halo Legends isn't going to be nearly as bad as everyone thinks, and it most certainly won't "ruin Halo".

Only one of the 7 "episodes" is overly cartoony and over the top, and that one is just for lulz. I mean seriously, it is about "Spartan-1337". 1 of them is even full CGI.

You do know that one of the veteran employees of Bungie is heading 343?

One veteran isn't enough.

Rare not only had many veterans, and the Stamper Bros. were still part of the company around the time PDZ was released for 360. They didn't seem to make up for the lack of the veterans who went off and made Free Radical and Timesplitters. Also, Frankie wasn't the biggest key member imo.

We need more Halo veterans for Bungie.

Ensemble made Halo master the RTS genre.

That's 2 types of game, excellently done.

I'm sure Frankie and Mr.Vociferous will do great at 343 industries.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Frank O' Connor is the head of 343 (correct me if I am wrong), but yeah, I'm pretty sure he knows what he is doing. Also, they will probably have the Halo Bible to follow, so there won't be anything to non-canon to worry about. (Except for the stuff that is meant to be non-canon.)

It's not canon I'm worried about. It's gameplay, map design, etc. I just think it would be nice if they helped on the multiplayer portion to get a better feel for the games, and better experience with the map designs.

I don' t think they should help with the campaign. Bungie already tried doing the different teams per level in different offices idea during Halo 2, and we all know that game was scrapped, and rebuilt quickly.
