I thought the engineers were those human workers that brutes tried to kill in the level before the flood are introduced.

Engineers are some strange looking hovering octupus creatures used by the Covenant to repair stuff in Halo Wars, and innocent victims in some flash game where you shoot warthogs at them, thats all I know

Nope, those were contruction workers......

Engineers are Forerunner Working Species, used to fix and repair things. The Covenant use them, but they have no true alliance except to the Forerunner

Nope. They're floating purple aliens that have an amazing ability to fix pretty much anything. They were first introduced in the book Halo: First Strike (though one showed up briefly in Halo: Fall of Reach. john-117 observed it reconfiguring a civilian vehicle.). Their first appearance in a video game however was in Halo Wars though there are pictures of them in the Halo 3 Bestiarium, but they have not been implemented into a Bungie game yet...or have they?

To the OP, you have posted leaked info regardless of how old it is. You can still be banned for even posting about the "leaked achievements". I could be banned, for example, by saying "Hey guys, I have the actual order of Halo 3: ODST achievements and their pre-unlocked descriptions. Wanna see them?!" I could be banned for saying something like that. It all depends on the Moderator that is notified by the report.

(And for the record I did some digging and actually have the list in order with locked descriptions but I am not making it public. If you want to see my pre-launch ODST Field Guide, you'll have to wait until at least September 22nd.)
