Against. Two words... Halo Wars. Don't mess with success.

Die? Haven't you heard? Spartans never die.

That's not a legitimate reason. I think Halo Wars failed because it wasn't made by Bungie. Microsoft was stupid when they started allowing other companies to use the Halo name.

So, because he disagreed, that makes him a fanboy?

Don't be so goshe. Squad-based shooting doesn't suit the Halo universe. If it did, that's what ODST would have been.

But I suppose I'm just another "fanboy" then, eh?

Using squad based gameplay could feel like the switch from CE to Halo 2 when Bungie made all those changes. And that wasn't nessesarily a bad thing. Nasi zombies doesn't realy suit COD either, but no one seems to care because it adds an interesting and fun addition to gameplay. Saying that you want Halo to stay static and be ignorant of all the things that could make it more enjoyable isn't fair to people who want to see it evolve not just by simply adding weapons or more gametypes. Having squads could even just be in a single playlist or a option in custom games, but even knowing that most people automaticaly say things like "This isn't COD! " "Halo needs to stay Halo!" and "Holy -blam!- you must be stupid if you want Halo to explore more frontiers! Nope Halo should stay the way it's been for 10 years and not give a -blam!- about people that want more than just new weapons, or whatever."

The only thing evolving in halo has been it's features. It's actual gameplay has been de evolving since C.E

What do you mean by devolving?

Halo game play has been going down hill ever since halo c.e. Back in the day halo was made for gamers and now it's made for the masses. It's great how the gaming industy is becoming more mainsteam and popular but with that comes dumb downed games. The Wii is even starting to make games that play them self if they get to hard.

A simple squad interface that doesnt interfere with the established Halo stylewould be an interesting dynamic to the game. I wouldnt agree with having complex controls for teammates like in Socom or something but just arrows on the directional pad for flanking, or supressive fire, advance or hold....stuff like that....could be cool.

There are those who said this day would never come, what a day to say now.

I mean, we did elect Obama after all!

But in all seriousness, why can't we deviate from the same formula that we have had for 10 years?

See, you my friend, just made a ridiculous comment. You said my idea was bad and that there was no room for any for any other idea except for Halo as it's always been. That makes you a fanboy. Bite me.

I agree. People need to stop being ignorant when it comes to change.

Bungie already said in one their updates that it's an FPS, not a sqaud game. They specifically reffered to squad based games when saying that.

Corn, Oil, and Wine... We need more wine...

Halo Wars was amazing! And saying "it didn't do to well" is blasphemy, look at all of the awards it has won!
