Bugs in halo reach final game as of 9/2/10

in forge i am trying to make gametypes objectives but all i see is hill markers and flag points. If im trying to make a ctf game variant and i use the capture point and the flag stand and go into custom games. There is always a error saying "map not compatible with gametype" This is not just with ctf but with most other custom game and map variants.
EDIT: this was just a understanding issue that was cleared post-game release

Why is there life on the halo rings if it is mennt to destroy the galaxy to keep the flood from spreading.

There are oceans and grass field plaines, trees.

someone enlighten me

Who are we to understand the complexities of the Forerunner mind? Perhaps the Halo array was once not meant to be a weapon.

and how!

If you were going to design a habitable world and had the capability to give it a real atmosphere and very well simulated nature....why would you make it claustrophobic and boring instead of breathtaking and natural feeling?

The Forerunners were brilliant world-builders, not barbarians. Things had more depth than just being a weapon.

The Halos only destroy sentient life, and vegetation doesn't fall into that category. It's also possible that, since the Libraries contain cloned DNA sequences of different species (possibly all which were indexed in the Ark) that the Sentinels re-created some select life forms to populate the rings (such as those birds).

Runic aries- i have one question for you. what do you get out of flaming threads. Is this some sad excuse for recon. Lol do you think a bungie member is going to look at this thread of mine and go omg that made me laugh this kid has got the stuff for recon! obviously your some self centered ignorant tramp that thinks that he can relieve his stress by flaming forums on how you touch yourself at night so please tell me why you do this.

Die? Haven't you heard? Spartans never die.

I think that maybe the forrunners themselves actually studied the flood in person at one point. I wouldn't make sense to make it just a big labratory.

Hush. If you’re quiet enough, you can hear it on lips of unborn babes.

The environments on the Halo rings were man-made (well, by the Forerunners that is) to see how the Flood trapped on the rings would react to this environments. Each Halo ring seems to have a different type of climate and landscape. An example of this is near the end Campaign level The Covenant in Halo 3, around where the part where Truth dies. If you look closely, you can see each ring is different.

Sorry to say but not everybody cares about recon... And I have no idea, but why not? Why not make something amazing and beautiful out of something meant for destruction.. Works for me.

if they used it for testing out howw the flood did in the weather conditions. wouldnt they be flood infested or does the flood only like the taste of humans.

I'm sure the Forerunner knew what they were dealing with in the Flood and wouldn't do something foolish like try to study it without proper protection and safety measures. My guess is that they used Sentinels and other such robotics to handle the Flood without the risk of being attacked and spreading the "disease." I also remember reading in a terminal in Halo 3 about certain levels of Combat Skins (armor) needing to be worn when dealing with the Flood.

using quotes is easier than calling out my name, also: i dont see how trolling would get me recon, and either way I dont care, it will be everywhere in 1 month and I still wont even use it. Also: I dont think I can relieve stress by flaming/trolling, I just think its fun sometimes to be an idiot and watch the reactions.
(Ironicly, I major in psychology)
