What if Reach was an open-world game, like ODST? Instead of loading up missions, you would load up areas you have explored before, and instead of covenant being in regular spawn points they would be placed in different locations each time to restart the game and would wander around, making it so that trial and error wouldn't be an effective method.
You would race from one location to another, as you are ordered, using whatever transportation you have, from walking, to a mongoose, to a pelican pick up LZ. You could pursue objectives in different order, and as you see fit.
I think it would be more refreshing than just having missions being a section of the game, but a section of the game's world. What's your opinion on the idea? Do you like it, do you want the games to stay as they were with the trilogy, or do you have a different, more fun idea in mind (please specify)?
