That's definitely not how it felt back in Halo 2.

Well, deep down this topic feels as random as potatoes growing from a tree underwater, but that's how life goes.

Oh yeah. It actually looked like someplace people would have actually lived and worked in. Halo 3 really didn't have the same feeling since you were mostly on a highway and in a industrial area around a large crater.

well when playing quake 3 you see slightly faded color dungeon evil like setting with skulls and alien like things. then u come across this simpsons map which u play and u hop around with your rocket launcher in

halo is about rings and grass with rocks and a beautiful painted background sky and outdoors wild life without houses or roads. then u play manbusa(spelling) and u see roads with yellow on them and a city

thats kind of the comparison

Weird. I always thought that Halo is about having different environments in each mission. Save for the part missions Halo 2 and 3 had, notice how each mission had it's own unique environment. The only level that was the same was Assault on the Control Room, set during day and Two Betrayals, which was set during night.

And....

Truth & Reconciliation/Keyes
Pillar of Autumn/The Maw
Gravemind/High Charity
The Storm/Floodgate

All of those took place in the same setting.
