Everyone says that we will drive a pelican because we are mickey and he used to be a pilot. But maybe we get to shoot out of one? I know its not as exicting as piloting one but it would still be cool to shoot out of one wouldn't it? I think it would. Well, I just had an idea and decided to tell you guys. Well see ya

GRAVITY CAT NOT AMUSED
Process initiated : Attempting to give a damn

Process stopping : Unable to give a damn, stopping

Process failed : Damn not given

Shush! We don't know that yet!

Your friendly and eccentric Sangheili forum-poster. :)

I'd love a mission like that. You're in the back of a Pelican, your objective, fend off Banshee attackers while the Pelican gets to it's destination.

If you've ever played a lot of Coldsnap on Halo: Custom Edition, then you would probably know that Shooting out the back of a Pelican is MUCH more fun than flying one.

Never had Halo:Custom Edition. Is it good? How much does it cost?

If you have Halo PC already then Custom Edition is a free download! There are very few servers on nowadays, but it's kinda fun.
The game features custom content such as user-created Multiplayer maps. There's a team called CMT that created an updated campaign mode called SPV 1. They're currently working on SPV 2. The campaign will feature Halo 3 style weapons with updated graphics, along with Brute and Elite enemies.
You can make almost anything you want from scratch. Maps, weapons, powerups, scenery, etc. all with 3DS MAX and a tool called HEK.

Yes, if you've ever played cold snap on halo: custom edition, SHOOTING IS THE BOMB!

  • 08.08.2009 9:58 AM PDT

I swear to DRUNK, I'm not GOD!

Maybe, but first a question must be answered...

At what point in the plot will the ODSTs (who have been dropped into a city that just had a slip-space rupture go off in it's face) be organized enough with their fellow Marines and others helping them to not only find a working Pelican, but need to actually fly someplace?

Long question, I know, but it doesn't seem like a situation where you'd be shooting out the back of a Pelican would be a situation that would believably arise in the storyline, given what we know.

Death to rank junkies.

Extinction in Halo: Custom Edition is a great map for flying Pelicans. You can even pilot Phantoms and Longswords.

They commandeer a police pelican, obviously.

  • 08.08.2009 10:33 AM PDT

obviously, but i think he has got a point, where would they even need to go. some place where you cant reach walking? you can drive round the city easy enought, so why the pelican?
