Think about it, at the end of Halo 2, the Chief goes to earth on the prophet's forerunner ship. So why isn't he gunna be in ODST?

because this takes place way before he gets on the forrunner ship

Has the OP ever played the first few levels of Halo 2 and made the connections to the beginning of ODST?

NO.

Go Rams and Missouri!

He is. In the opening drop scene you can see In Amber Clad pull up beside the carrier and follow it through slipspace.

"Sir, finishing this fight". and thats my theory.

Well, the game will end before Chief even reaches Delta Halo, so that wouldn't happen. The game's timeline doesn't take longer than a day. You are the Rookie in the night and you find clues to your squadmates. It's stated by Bungie that later in the game, the timelines overlap (of the flashbacks and Rookie). That's later in the game, so the game only gets to nighttime later in the game all around. We aren't spending 2 weeks in New Mombasa.

It actually takes MC 2 weeks to get from Earth to Delta Halo.

Most of your posts wiggyclan are very inaccurate. I would suggest you do some research before trying to help people.

Yeah. ODST is about one day, and its story won't progress that far in the timeline.

Photographers are sexy.

Don't even respond to threads like these anymore guys... I'm seriously thinking people will NEVER be able to comprehend the fact that Chief isn't even on Earth at this point.

Joseph says:
You can call it a prequel to halo 3, but it takes place weeks before the events.

Considering the open world concept a timeline of weeks does not make sence.

The name's Ian, Game Designer at Whisper Game Studios, very off-and-on Bungie.net visitor and avid Bungie fan overall. Message me if you wish.

HE IS! He's in there as long as he should be. He's in the carrier following Regret's carrier! Where else you wanna see him?

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

No, he really shouldn't.

Crazy Bacon + Crazy Sausage = Crazy Sandwich

this game starts 2 weekes before halo 3 so maybe at the end master chief is back on earth and you join him when he goes to the portal in Voi. New mombassa is about 200km away from voi so its not that far.

I would like to see a little something from MC in it.
