Nobody seems to understand . . . the second you play a Halo 2 MP map you will look at Halo in disbelief because its maps will become so primative. We've only seen in-depth one map and it was simply spectacular. Now, do you think Bungie would release it's BEST map to the public? HECK NO. On November 9 jaws will drop beyond normal restrictions and drool will drip into lakes.

maybe they would 'refit' the old maps to make them have a new twist.. but be close to the original.. keeping them the way they were would be dumb

That could be like a jungle themed blood gultch would rule good idea. But with Waterworks and Burial Mounds and Zanzibar I dont think we will miss the old maps too much.

File Share - Check out my latest map Paradigm.

I'd rather have Sidewinder back instead of Blood Gulch. BG is just a pistol fest where Sidewinder involves close quarters combat and more sniping.

EXACTLY! The only reason people like Gultch is the tricks and the sniping but compared to sidewinder and the Halo PC maps it was nothing.

Since Halo 2 is going to be such a vast game I predict all of the Halo levels will be included. Except for Chiron because that level is -blam!-.

If you cont the Alpha maps the e3 map and the maps hinted in the weekly update's there's a dozen or so in Halo 2 so there's no doubt that Halo 2 will be much bigger without the rehased maps.

I dont know why people got so atached to Blood Gultch it was so open and it was just a sniping teleporting powerup rocket launcher whoring level with bland enviroments god I cant wait for Halo 2. The only thing that made Halo's repetitve enviroments (like the library) was the undeniably amazing combat fortunitly bungie realizes their mistakes. Their were great level designs though such as Boarding Action and Battle Creek but BG really wasn't that great it is the most overated map on the game.

This can be fixed easily make it as it would be before it was dry like have vegation every where to hide and make a river in it so it would be like a swamp/forrest with would be awsome with the new camo hog. it would be so cool it would be all green and the river would be a really nice touch. That would be soo awsome I would so love that level liek "SWAMP GULCH"

Halo: CE had tons of great maps, but Blood Gulch was not one of them. It was a bore, going back and forth, long sniper respawns and vehicles, in other words, crap. It was made popular by players who only wanted to play CTF BG over and over, instead of exploring the other maps that actually required skill.. Sidewinder, tho I didn't like it that much, is a much better map due to the fact you can bring into play snipers and close range combat as well. Maps such as Prisoner, Damnation, Chill Out, Hang em' High, Rat Race, Wizard, Derelict, Longest, all of these were great. I also love Boarding Action, a 4v4 Snipers only match there is awesome. I am sure Bungie will give us great maps, but I do doubt many if any of the PC Maps carry over because well, they was crap. Bungie didn't make them, Gearbox or whatever did and ALL of them was huge vehicle based maps. Sure a lot of ppl like these maps but they're not what makes Halo great, and any good player knows that.

even if halo 1 maps were returned, would you play them? well maybe after the first year but only as downloadable content. and by then they will probably come out with more NEW maps

The maps in Halo: CE are timeless, so yes, I would still play them.. just the LAN parties would be a lot longer cause it'd take forever to go through every map (minus BG and Chiron) three times.
