Has anyone else out there in the Bungie community noticed that after you put your crosshairs (using the sniper rifle) on an Elite that it seems like they know that someone is about to kill them and they take off. Now I have, of course, sniped Elites before, but most of the time it's after they move out of my sights and then come back. I just think it's kind of crazy how the player can be quite a distance off and the Elite not notice me, but as soon as I get my crosshairs on him he takes off. Now don't get me wrong, I like Bungie and Halo is the greatest game ever created. I'm just bringing up a point.

i have noticed that too, and frankly it pisses me off. at the beginning of truth and reconciliation, i always go for the elite first before i shoot anyone else, and it not that he knows im there but once i put the targeting thing directly on him he moves, this happens like everytime. i think this goes to show that the computer does indeed cheat

Yeah man I've noticed it on that level also. Bungie needs to change that, because it is a problem. We work hard to find a place where the enemy can't spot us, and that's how we get repaid?

My thumbsticks will be your Doom.... sorry 'bout that.

C'mon man.... do you want Bungie to just hand over to you and your sniper riffle the game and all it's glorious forerunner secrets??? Yeah the elites seem to "get the feeling that someone is watching" them and then either move out of the way or turn and spot your position. But so what? You just have to be a little quicker with the trigger fringer. Personally i like whatever challenges the computer (Bungie) can throw at me by the way of "cheating" as long as it's not too far out of the realms of possibilties...

What are you talking about. "Forerunner secrets"? Are you implying that the Forerunners somehow, long ago, blessed the Elites with some sort of telekenisis power? If so, then I'm not too sure about that one. Besides there are other ways for the A.I. to be challenging without it "cheating".

P.S. Halo is the greatest game ever.

Uh... i think "the game and all it's forerunner secrets" should have been taken figuretivley and not literally. Besides with all the time/space gravity technology the Forerunners had why is it so outside the possibility that the elites can detect when they are being tracked by a telescopic lense. And I'd like to here some of these "other ways for the A.I. to be challenging without 'cheating' "

P.S. I do agree that Halo is the greatest game ever.

Awwwww man come on. Do the other enemies in Halo do what the Elites do (the sniping thing)? No. Are there other enemies in the game that are challenging? Yes.

P.S. At least we can come to an agreement about one thing. lol.
