If this were to happen I'd like to see the Spartan operations on Forsaken go generally unknown and un-planned against by the Covenant until the player starts to be more extravagant and daring with his/her attacks. Covenant parties are scared and suprised by your attacks until later in the game when they gather information on you and are able to coordinate against your style of attack and are more on guard.

I thought about that too.

The thing is I think the game should be able to be beat as soon as you are able to accomplish the destruction of Mecca, and with it, the Covenant shipyard. However, early in the game, there will be very very few options.

So yeah, the game would evolve as you played, and adapt to your tactics.
This would make things very interesting the longer you played the game as you would be forced to think of different ways to get your supplies and ordnance.

This sounds like a very interesting idea. Ive always thought that Halo could work as an RPG, similar to Fallout 3 in style. Question: Would you get to work with other SIII's at certain points, or form them into a party? Would there be other humans, marines and civilians?

This would make a great game. Imagine doing co-op with 3 other people with one person flying a pelican and droping the other 3 spartans just outside a covie base the guys on the ground would infiltrate the base and destroy the aa allowing the pelican to fly in and level the base.

Does this have anything to do with ODST? Couldn't this at least be put in the artwork forum for an idea of a new game...But anyway overall I felt it was a self-explanitorary idea. My only minor critic would probably be that you've made it a bit too much like reach, meaning that this game basically has all the features reach has a same story wise of feeling towards covenant attacking with multiple Spartans, making this probably just to be an Idea towards an add-on of free-roam and others to Reach.

Likewise there's no grudges against not having ideas for add-ons, overall I liked it, Just up to you if you either want to change some parts of it drawing back from an add-on, or just keep it like it is.

Well first I want to say, Bungie isn't planning to work on further Halo games past Reach.

Way to combine Fable + Halo.

I like the idea, but I don't like the whole Nuke Mecca thing. Mecca is a holy muslim city. You do realize how much controversy that would cause???

red faction guerilla was epic fail. I've played the red faction games since they came out and Red Faction: Guerilla is a horrible conclision to the previous games. (well, only RFG's multiplayer, it's campaign was sick).

In conclusion, i will not like you idea i you have not played the original red faction games

It sounds pretty interesting, but Bungie is not developing any more Halo games after Reach. They don't hold the IP, and that means they aren't allowed to run around and make Halo sequels like mad. It has a decent plot, except the nuking part, and would provide some good gameplay. Also, I like the rampant AI thing.

I find it quite funny that you thought of this, because I was thinking of something along the same lines, Spartan III's, guerilla campaign, old UNSC base, multiple ending, although the only problem is, would it fit in with the Halo series, would it still have along the same feel? You know what'd be cool, everytime you have a high profile attack or high- profile ambush or anything along those lines, there would be more covenant convoys travelling bout, because some games you get a convoy mission, what about random ones, and if you can send out an ally to scout and get bak for high- profile targets.

If an ally is in need of help, there would be an old pelican there or some mode of transport to get him, although you can't go too far away unless you find more Spartans etc.

I was also thinking of the weapon modifying too. And also cleaning your weapon, like in Bioshock picklocking you get the tubes and pieces, being able to see inside your weapon. Also you get the SMG's from ODSt and your version you get is a Mark I Prototype. And also two words! TROOP HOG! Sorry but I love it. Imagine being able to plot convoys and estimated time of arrivals, then setting up an ambush points using Missile pods, rocket launchers, stealth systems and the likes. Also the Rampant AI gives you schematics to a Lab/ Foundry area and you plan your way in and using SPI stealth system sneaking up and immobilising gaurds.

Pretty good eh? Some of that I got from you though lol. We should make a company and make the game lol. It shallz b colld ozzum comp4ny, 4nd 1t sh4allz b 5o...lol

But I like your ideas.

I'd like a halo that is and rpg but perhaps not with our specific halo people we could be and ODST in training and once we are done we are sent on a mission and get trapped on a cov. planet and we have to work our way through to ethier escape with as many UNSC allies as you can or go on a massive suicide misiion and blow up the planet and you have "quests" you have a good or evil side where maby you go off say f bomb the UNSC and kinda turn into a awal vigilante and you do waht you wish. This would include killing your own allies aiding the cov. for money or supplies or just being a crazy person and killing everyone you see no matter what faction. Also there could be hostage civilans as well as UNSC personal.

On this planet you could also find all the weapons in the haloverse and say they create some new ones, this would add nicely to the gameplay. I also think that you could obtain cool armors and such perhaps you could even find a Spartan II corpse and get on some spi srmor. You would also have upgradable stats like in fallout were you could repair your own armor and make medkits that would eventualy contain biofoam temoraraly increasing your health.

Later on in the game, about 3/4th through, the UNSC should launch a counterattack and you can have Marine, Vehicle, and air support. Imagine putting down a bombing run on a Covenant factory with a wing of Longswords.
