Switch your armor to mark v in halo 3 and try to dual wield.

if you read the description on the armor on halo 3 it says its been modified
i can see the point hes making but the spartans in halo wars can dual weild smgs no problem

you just commited a crime on this form using halo wars (the un-cannon game) as a reference

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I would prefer if they kept it in. It is a really useful and tactically deep tactic.

And in terms of chronology, there are plenty of oversights that they have made for gameplay.

Ninjabag the tea-pirates!

I don't want to join your group.

They could do dual weild you just wouldn't get the funky looking aimer or ammo counter. You could always just guess about the ammo and reload when you feel like it.

What are you smoking, Halo Wars is canon! Anyway, I doubt Bungie even realized this, and I doubt armor would stop the Spartans from using two guns anyway.

  • 08.09.2009 12:07 PM PDT

halo wars is only semi-canon, the timeline is right, but there was no flood, nor did spartans have shields then

  • 08.09.2009 12:11 PM PDT

Signatures are for squares.

Halo Wars is Canon you twits.

Honestly, just because you didn't like the game and it wasn't made by Bungie doesn't make the game Naught, it happened, and everything about the game is considered Canon.

The Shielding was for gameplay.
The Flood were able to be introduced, without altering canon because everyone on the SoF was killed, so the UNSC didn't know about it.

Spartans can Duel Wield, /thread.

the shields are gameplay, and what are you saying that the flood just suddenly popped out of nowhere? that's stupid. and it is full canon.

p.s. try to prove me wrong but i'll always have the answer.

the flood where first found in alpha halo during halo 1 after being in storage for 100,000 years

Halo Wars was accepted as canon... get you're facts right

ok acording to the halo story all flood that survided halo wer kept in labs in the halo facilitys themselves so is it cannon that there a hole infected planet (said the first holding place descovered in thread above)

also how is it cannon that spartans cant get infected

plus theres forms of infected that dont exsist

so no it was said to be cannon by bungie becuse they cant do anything about it.

lastly you get your facts strait

ive said this once all ready the flood are held in facilitys that they cant exsape from becuse of non stop sentinals holding them back and with no one to infect they couldnt do anything

but acording to halo wars the flood still managed to destroy a none stop supply of sentinals infect a plannet and all without any fresh supply of hosts (bull)

the flood where first found in alpha halo during halo 1 after being in storage for 100,000 years

They were first discovered by the Spirit of Fire, but the SoF's slipspace engine was broken so they were lost in space and the UNSC could never learn about the parasite in time.
you can still try to prove me wrong

the Flood got the upper hand on forerunners, leaving the forerunners down to they're only chance to destroy themselves and the flood from the galaxy. Still some flood forms were still alive (the ones on Halo's yes) but also in forerunner planets. Firing the Halo rings was the forerunner's LAST STAND thereforth making it possible that the flood had been on other forerunner worlds and spread there, also known as shield worlds (like the one in Halo Wars) thus i am right again. And if Bungie themselves accepted it canon MUST mean that Microsoft black mailed them or something?

look its not cannon yes the forruners are dead meaning the flood could have spread if there was no sentinals to kill them (stop fighting the halo wars story is fun but rubish)

you are right except spartans can get infected, master chief almost got infected but cortana saved him. the only person who can't get infected is johnson because of his disease

You're mixing canon and gameplay? Seriously omg.... What say's that you can't dual wield weapons in Halo Reach? Bungie simply didn't come up with the idea in Halo CE so that's why it wasn't there! ... Give me a real explanation why there couldn't be dual wielding and i gives you cookie.

fail becuse it renders there hud inafective and therfore it is better for them to stick with one wepon (spartans try to be as effective as possible)

now give me cookie

Yes my apologies on the SoF statement, they could still be alive, but they aren't in human controlled space, so the UNSC doesn't know about the flood until Alpha halo.

  • 08.09.2009 12:35 PM PDT

Halo Wars IS canon. Only the cutscense, not gameplay (Spartans with shields, for example).

Mark V (and lower) versions of MJOLNIR can't track two weapons at once. Counting bullets in one weapon is difficult enough. Also, it wouldn't have a reticule for the second weapon.
