As most of you know REACH will most likely be the last of the halo game (if u didnt know now you do, go cry yourself to sleep ya stupid fanboys) so bungie needs to make this game perfect. Now as we can all see there were some major probelms in Halo 3 that NEED to be fixed for REACH if bungie what to be taken as a serious developer after the halo universe is all done and dusted this game needs to be brilliant.

Bungie you really need to step up and make this game to the best of your abilites, no cutting corners

I agree, Bungie really need to take their time with this one. No rush jobs. Delay the game if you must Bungie, but do NOT rush it, no matter what Microsoft says.

I will. Short campaign, graphics are nothing compared to what the E3 2006 and even the beta promised us, soundtrack starts off amazing but then looses it's touch later on, didn't feel like Covenant were kicking our ass as much as Bungie claimed they were.

The Campaign was short, and pretty dissapointing.
The Graphics were a total let down, we went from simply epic, to pretty good (beta) too meh.
The Soundtrack was very good, but not as good as Halo 2.
The Covenant are a joke without Elites. Brutes are horrible fighters.

bungie doesnt have to make the game perfect, if its bad, fanboys will just say its not a real halo game.

Also: this is my message to everyone saying -blam!- like "Do this bungie!": You dont know jack ---- about making games, alot of the ideas people come up with are alot more complex than pushing a button or typing [make everything awesome] in a command prompt.

They need a customisable class system like COD. I like creating my own weapon/class types. Halo 3 still uses old school weapon pick ups, which just aren't very fun anymore.

Agreed. While I'm all for groundbreaking ideas I've stated time and time again that a class based system for Halo just would not work at all.

The graphics didn't degrade from the beta... I thought the soundtrack was pretty good (That's my opinion)... As for campaign... not sure, it can always be longer I guess.

The beta's graphics had a lot more detail. Look up some of the gameplay videos, and pay attention in particular to the Spartan models, the Assault Rifle, and the overall look of the game.

Exactly. That's one of CoD4's downfalls, that everybody and their mothers have the Sniper Rifle on the SAS themed maps. You can never get any close quarters action.

Naming problems wont fix anything but here are my suggestions

Campain-was to short and wasnt deep enough (im a storyline fan) and had some really horrible parts and even some bad levels themselfs *CORTANA* and needs a search button

Matchmaking- Meh cant complain but i would like to see more user created maps

Customs- NEEDS SERCH OPTION

Forge- 45 degrees snapping option level editor campain forge a glue and a hover option

Theater- can upload onto a compute directly

I generally agree with everything the OP has said...

- Campaign was too short
-- Make much lengthier and more in-depth. If you're doing cut-scenes, don't make it so that if I skip them I'll have absolutely no clue how I went from Earth to planet of the goddamn Apes! Also, give the story-line a more personal feel. In Halo CE, if felt more epic because all the cut-scenes were were only from our played character's (Masterchief) perspective.

- Graphics were incredibly weak for 360-gen
-- Considering I've seen original Xbox games look even better (see Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay), I was incredibly let down. The only difference I noticed between Halo 2 and 3 was a reduction of jaggies.

- Multiplayer was not very community supportive
-- Allowing us to create and upload maps and videos I do not consider supporting the community. Halo 2 had a general idea. How they digressed I'll never know. Remember the clan tab? This alone allowed for countless tournament-based events. Also, they desperately need to upgrade forge, and even allow better customizations of our characters and allow us to upload that. While they're at it, let us BROWSE for custom games!

- Enemies sucked
-- Never did I really feel at all threatened. I always preferred the layer pf mystery surrounding the Covenant... you know, before they could talk. In Halo 2 and 3 they were religious nuts and couldn't fight worth a damn. Reminds me of something. The A.I. was shoddy and non-complex. They simply acted on aggression or fear (when retreating), and nothing in between.


*EDIT* And yeah, absolutely no class system. Halo isn't played like that. Those are entirely different game mechanics.

They already are a serious game developer - it's pretty obvious they have proven themselves well.

Halo 3 obviously had a lot of problems (Multiplayer had some serious issues) which should be fixed but at the same time no game can be perfect.
