Why can't we put Bungie Cards here?

How do you know that there won't be?

Yea that sounds like a bad idea not having matchmaking in firefight. But it can also be good because, you won't get people that betray you forever, and you will get people that don't talk in the mic and you will have no contact with them. But those are the only 2 good things I can think about it though, but It should still be matchmaking :/

Find people who will play. Join one of the many groups that does Firefight player grouping.

Just stop complaining about it.

I also can't believe they didn't make it alloted that you can have four people on one xbox. I have more then one friend I invite over that likes to play Halo.

>>: [Welcome to Dr. Grey's domain.]

I don't care if my friends are online or not.

I will kill them all myself.

Also I'm pretty sure that you would just run into endless amounts of jerks who betray for fun, people away from controllers, etc. It's just one of those things you'll have to enjoy with friends you already know only.

ya but getting players on live to play horde in gears is 10 out of 100 so its a good idea not to have matchmaking

You're using semantics to make 1 out of 10 (a fact you pulled out of nowhere) seem worse than it is.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

The ones complaining ... keep bringing up a flaw that cannot be fixed since Firefight is based on the Campaign model.

Noone said Firefight had to use the same MM set-up as traditional Multiplayer. All you need is the classic game search here:
"What difficulty would you like to play?"
"What map would like like to play?"
*system finds 3 other people*
I wish it was like that too. But since they effectively retooled the campaign menu, which was never designed for matching of any type of players, it wasn't included. Maybe it has something to do with matching needing the trueskill system...

убивать или быть убитыми

Excluding matchmaking in ODST overall lowers my level of interest in the game- they're better be an expanded campaign.

i think a forum ninja needs to settle this.

i was always under the assumption that Firefight on Live would similar to the system that the H3 campaign uses on Live

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

So your desperate to have teammates betray you for the Rocket Luancher in firefight mode?

  • 08.09.2009 8:47 PM PDT

It would be a good idea, But it will cost a TON of money.

Twitter | Nothing

Has it been confirmed that there isn't a matching system for Firefight?

If not then I would suggest you get some more friends.

Can someone provide a link with Bungie confirming no matchmaking and/or no single player for firefight? I've only heard these two things said on the forums and would like a link to provide proof.

Firefight Match Making is a great idea. We need this!
