I wouldn't be stealthy or strong...I would have...DUN DUN DUN...Charisma so i could talk with the Brutes over a nice cup of Earl Grey... "95% SPEACH SUCCESS CHANCE: You should leave Earth, right now.", anyone? :P Jokez
In all honesty i'd probably try to be stealthy, mess it up and just end up running off to hide until my friends kill them (or they run out of ammo)
Don't forget to level up your Speech Skill! And get the bobbleheads for Charisma and Speech!
Big Guns wouldn't hurt either. ;)

Magic is magical, so are shoes... Along with plastic.
Don't forget to flush the toilet, because -blam!- stinks.

Stealth.

Pop the grunts, leave the brute, and leg it!

There you have a major ammo saver technique.

What's hot, sexy and purple?

Ayane (and the Wraith :-D)

The game has nothing to do with stealth, seriously. Just like the vidoc shows, the enemy (in this case the brute) instantly knows where the player is shooting from, even with silenced weapons (!!!).
Bungie won't change the gameplay because it's still Halo 3. The only difference is that you won't encounter that much enemies on one place with the rookie.
ODST has a stealthy look, but it plays just like Halo 3. Good for me, I dont want a Splinter Cell like Halo game.

And btw, the ODSTs live way tooo long for me when under fire. Even in firefight 6 or 7 drones can take one player under fire and he loses just little bit of health. They shouldn't even survive splash damage of a wraith tank.

ODSTs are nothing more than spartans in black armor (I know these guys arent spartans ;) ) and a lot of videos already confirmed this.

Tell it like it is, soul brother. But you have to admit that sneaking through New Mobasa as the Rookie you will be presented a few stealth options.

I will go stealth, picking off units, and when I know I can beat whatevers left, I'll rush in the open. Gotta mix it up I reckon.

I feel like it will be very similar to Halo: Combat Evolved. I would have to say I'll go guns blazing alot, but I'll take cover and restore shields and get health packs when I need them. It is Halo after all, I don't think they would change it too much.

I could be wrong though...

The Admitting Noob.

both,,,
but a little more strength :D!

Microsoft's carelessness was a colossal failure.
They failed to protect Halo 2,
When the great journey is upon us
Their heresy will stay their feet.
And they will be left behind.

Stealth. It brings back memories of me playing Splinter Cell back when I used to play it frequently.

New Flood

I'd like to think I have the skill and intelligence to be good at the stealth aspect of the game, but my desire to cause pain means that I will probably end up going for strength.

I personally try to do Stealth but Halo 3 does not reward you for going stealthy.

Iam enjoying Halo Reach and revisiting some past Bungie games, iam a big fan of Bungie and their online community.

Its rather dependent on the situations we could be facing but iam going to go with an even mix of both when its needed.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Stealth, i hope on legendary its as hard (life wise) as Halo CE was. Halo 2 & 3 were just too easy on Legendary with your recoverable health.

"Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe. But I have yet to meet one who can outsmart a bullet."

I'll quote another game's tagline:
"For glory, fight on the frontlines. For victory, fight in the shadows."
Obviously this doesn't apply to Spartans, but you get it.

And @ Hipi07: Halo2 was too EASY on Legendary? Are you kidding me?!

You are .... all of you vermin! cowering in the dirt thinking what might i ask. that you might escape the coming fire! your world will burn until its surface is but glass and not even your demon can escape the burning tide of the covenant!

im gonna say it all depends on how scares ammo is, if its hard to come by il pick my fights if not then il still pick my fights just remember no shield = no shooting rpg at your feet and survivng

Honestly I am a one shot, one kill, sort of guy, so stealthily and a bit of guerilla tactics, once screwed, MR "Spray and Pray" (As my friends used to call the SMG) will come out to play. I use him as my run, gun and a lil' bit of fun weapon. =) With a lil' bitof demo for assulting. Speed, Agression, and Suprise....the British SAS' motto, well one of them. I go in fast, kill quicker, blow them to hell, and enjoy the show. Basically a bit of both, but more stealth, then FUN!!!

I'll use some stealth. I'll sneak behind the enemy, and assassinate as many as I can. When they notice me the shoosting begins!

My troll sense is tingling.

My gameplay style in most shooters tends to be Guerilla based.

  • 08.10.2009 2:32 PM PDT

Most of the gameplay in ODST seems to revolve around ranged weapons. I know that sounds stupid, because they all shoot bullets, but i think the shotgun and mauler have pretty limited uses in ODST.
