Do you think there will be a meter for sprinting. So as you sprint it goes down and when it runs out you can't sprint anymore until it builds back up. Much like your wind in real life.

I dont know. Spartans are in great shape, so they can probably sprint for a very long time. It might have a meter though for gameplay issues.

Why should we trust you? The game isn't even finished yet. I'm not saying that there will be a meter, or even that I'm too fond of the whole idea, but only Bungie knows if there'll be a meter. Hell, Bungie might not even know if there will be a meter. There is still plenty of time to put a meter in, take it out, change their minds and put the meter back in, and then call themselves idiots and take it out again before the game comes out.

Bungie has been awfully mum on sprinting ever since they said they would do it. I don't think there will be a meter because the armor is doing most of the work. Although I don't get how a fusion-powered sheilding system that deflects projectiles going hundreds of miles an hour can't even power a dinky flashlight for more than a minute or two. I just never got that(yes, balencing and all, but it's still seems rather chessy in my opinion.).

Maybe the suit is spending so much power deflecting projectiles going hundreds of miles an hour that it doesn't have any spare energy for a flash light.... oh nevermind, just ignore me.

Anyway, in my opinion I would not like there to be a meter. If Bungie decides to time the sprint, I don't think there should be a meter, he should just stop when he stops with no warning. People will just have to time how long they're sprinting themselves. But no meter. Of course, if Bungie decides to put the meter in, I'm sure it will be the best sprint meter ever implemented in a game, so I'm not going to complain. *this is just speculation, Bungie knows all, I know nothing.*

im going to rip your balls off and feed them to wildebeast children if you say some thing that stupid agian.

oh, and there is no meter-like its a fact. just like there is no boost meter...you just cant turn. its fine as is. and very balanced...

i think a meter would be pointless. if you have no weapons out then you should be able to sprint as long as you like. Hell marines can sprint for a long time when there not carrying any weapons. Hell, I can sprint for a long time when i'm not carrying a weapon. the ballance is this. either run away from a fire fight faster then the other guy or whip out your gun and fight. a meter has no use in my opinion.

"Help Help I'm being repressed! Come and see the Violence inherent in the system!"
"Bloody peasant!"
"Oh did you see that? you saw him repress me?"

Anyone whos read the books knows that the spartans are in great shape. on the last level according to the books, the chief could sprint that distance rather than take a hog! no way will there be a sprint bar, as no ones going to sprint for that long before they shoot or melee!

I think you have to put away any weapons to sprint, which would include dropping a flag, im not sure though. It would make sense that you would have the ability to so this since one cannot board a vehicle with the flag anymore (WTF BUNGIE?!?!!) but if you put the flag away it would be too hard to find whoever has it, if you loose track of em.

accutally i think that not being able to drive a vehicle wit the flag is great. it will eliminate people jacking the 'hog, runnin to the enemy base, grabbin the flag real fast and running away. it mean you will have to be more tactical and use more teamwork. also it only makes sence because u do hold the flag wit 2 hands and u can holster the flag

Wait wait wait... you can't carry a flag in a vehicle anymore? Oh my God, I LOVE YOU BUNGIE!! They are doing exactly what they should, they are giving everyone a new vehicle to drive and so so so so many ways to destroy it. Ahh, heat seaking rockets, destructible vehicles, boarding, and you can't carry the flag anymore either. I love this.. I hate vehicles with a passion and in that sense it makes things so much better. I hated when I'd see someone jump in a warthog and drive off at BG, it made me stop playing CTF BG for good, which made me a lot better player but I am glad you can't just drive away anymore. Ok anyways... I seriously doubt there will be a meter, and I doubt you can sprint with the flag.. if you have to tuck away your weapon, then how would carrying a huge flag be any different? You have to do something that tucks away whatever you are holding in order to sprint, and I don't see anywhere in MC's armor that's big enough for a flag so you probably can't sprint with the flag which is even better.

Long walks back to the base in order to score with the flag, having to have your teammate's cover.. more teamwork, better weapon skills, Bungie continues to make Halo 2 more and more and more appealing.

You can still get into vehicles with the flag, you just can't drive. Passengers can still carry the flag.

My opinion on the fact is that I don't think there should be a meter. Like someone said, it should be where you cant turn or fire when your sprinting, sorta like the boost option for the ghost.

has anyone noticed that bungie hasn't mentioned it at all, like at either e3's or article or anythin recently?
