Subject: Naval Ranks

Hey guys, do you think that Reach should use Army or Navy ranks. I'm thinking Navy would make a bit more sense, considering that Spartans, Marines and ODST area all Naval infantry, as opposed to the current Army ranks.

Oooohhhh... Don't call Marines 'naval' infantry. They'll bite your head off. On topic, Reach MP will almost certainly use Naval rank since the ORION/SPARTAN II project were ONI's, which is part of the Navy. So if we are playing as Spartans in MP, they will have Naval ranks. Or they might do the thing they did in 3 where they mix Army/Navy ranks. Like how theres a Commander (Naval) rank and a General (Army/Marine) rank in the same rank tree.

cause they can't handle the truth.

on topic: we will probably be playing as spartans so naval ranks will probably be used.

No the term "naval infantry" is still incorrect. The Corps may be part of the Department of the Navy, but they are solely their own organization. The Corps is much broader than just infantry, so its incorrect in two aspects.

Sorry for thread jacking.
